Hi! I had a similar problem with my VT. A/C would not turn on until 10-15 mins even though it was turned on! I replaced the relay under the dash near the fuses & all is good now....

Check the overflow (resivoir) bottle lid & the stem that may go into the bottle. I had a similar problem once & a new overflow tank lid was all that was needed. Hope It Helps! :)
