hey guys.. got a svz wagon ..of late its starting to smell really bad of petrol inside the cabin..there are no visible leaks..anyone have any ideas??

i just said i havent altered anything..its a simple plug n play process..

while your at it ya might as well change the headlights over..they make a HUGE difference to the front end..they do cost a bit but its well worth it being HID and all..you get that nice blue tinge at certain angles..

ive done this conversion guys and i can honestly say that i dont have a problem with the HB and PL problem..have a look at the pics on the pics thread..came up a treat.. infact just this morning i parked my car infront of a windown and threw the HB's on whilst the park lights were on..and the...

thanx for the comments guys..im actually looking for some VY GTS 19 " inch rims ..and then just lower it slightly..so far the only mods are..sunroof, calais front and recently some chrome inserts for the grill (middle part)..here are some latest pics after a nice wash with meguirs nxt gen wash ..

yeah well i had a prelude years back and when the sunroof was open i had no noise..i noticed on the last of the integra's had an external type wind deflector .. the problem ive seen with my installed webasto sunroof is that the bloddy installer didnt put the integrated wind deflector in..so now...

hi there, im looking at getting a webasto hollandia sunroof (300) into my shaggy wagon..and was wondering that whilst driving above 60 km/h is there alot of wind noise?? ive been in some cars and sometimes above 60km/h you cant even hear the next person speaking to ya

troy..about to do the calais light changeover on my SVZ wagon..problem is..im following your guide..BUT ive only got 2 screws on the upper inside arch way and none down the bottom..1 screw is above the bumper line/guard interface and one is below..soooo do i take both off..im thinking there...

yes i have..and he told me before he did the job that he's never retro fitted an interior light before..and either he can get a auto sparky to do it or i can get my own..im thinking it cant be 2 hard and someone on here might have the solution

nafeen, apparently the VT light has 4 wires and the VZ lighting loom has 5 (green,white,blue,red,red with black strip) what i need to know is what wires from the VT marry up to the above 5 wires from the VZ.. i do notice however that the VZ has an extra set of lights for the rear doors...

Gday guys, am about to buy a SVZ wagon and wanted to put the calais headlights and chrome garnish on the front and being a wagon the chrome garnish on the back tailgate like the berlina..can someone tell me 1) how hard it is to swap the headlights (are they HID like the clubby ones?) 2)...

im also in the market for a wagon..an SVZ if i can get one..pretty darn rare..but worth the wait IMHO do these engines suffer the same ill fated rear main leak like the ecotec..i hope not..my driveway is full of oil leaks from my VT from the rear main :bang:

hey guys, since ive had my car re-tuned (after taking it back to the mechanic half a dozen of times!) my car was running consistent 13l/100 km with a mixture of city/hwy use..come last week i get a mid to high 14l/100km..same servo, same route etc..but the servo i normally use has 2 gas...

take a copy of FHM magazine to read while your filling up :yeah: nah seriously it does take ages..but you can get some stations which have like a lock in lever type thing where you just lock it in and then you can do whatever untill it fills up..great idea but not every station has them

where did you get your figures from..would definately love to look into it a bit more further..i was under the assumption that gas pollutes alot less than petrol CO2 wise...im not bagging those who drive hondas all im saying that whilst doing the environment some good we get to drive largish...

hey sep, the best part of the whole gas conversion wether it be SVI or mixer is smiling everytime you fill up on gas and realising just how much your saving.. eg..if your getting 16l/100 on gas thats 16*.50cpl = $8 per 100 km in contrast petrol is costing you 14 * 1.20 = $16.8 per 100km...

sepia, sorry mate i shoulda told ya that the gas gauge isnt the most accurate of them all..i get caught out trying to judge how many litres will go in when im at the bowser filling her up based on how many klms i get done per 1 LED light of the gauge..ive given up now..but i do moniter how...

ok let me clarify my figures of 14l/100km.. my figures are in perth which are would be a lot different to say sydney (i know as i have lived in sydney and have just moved to perth and let me tell you ..there is a BIG difference in traffic flow here compared to sydney)..in perth traffic flows...

well if hes getting 18l/100km with an svi setup..where are the benefits from an consumption perspective between a mixer setup and SVI?? i mean its clearly shown that his setup is consuming more gas than my mixer setup?? or am i missing something??

19l/100km?? damn thats alot for a SVI system!!! ive got the mixer setup and was getting around that figure untill i took it back to the mechanic a number of times and finally got it tuned properly..now im getting around 14l/100km.. mixer setups do take time to settle down..the book says 1500km...
