    Brass Tips on the exhaust

Watch this thread turn into an internet fire of theories. I also predict some random post is added in five years from some muppet wanting a question answered about an exhaust on a V6.

    Brass Tips on the exhaust

Well. This has a nice twist to it. Old mate here, trying out brass on the back end of the BMW exhaust. The resonance of the brass has brought something to the bin fire of exhaust theories. I like not only the look, but the difference in note the brass tips on the stainless pipes offered...

VZ SS headlights fit the VZ Commodore wagon?

They are. I bought two sets in recent years from them. Also used them for tail lights too. Really happy with the quality. I couldn’t pick the difference with the tail lights. Headlights, the air breathers are a little different. I also bought SS foglights and was really stoked with them.

VZ SS headlights fit the VZ Commodore wagon?

There is some not ideal info here. They are a straight swap. They plug in and work. However! You need to modify the wiring at the dip switch for high beam. On low spec, there is high/low and high that work on high beam. On SS, Berlina, Calais it’s Low and High. So low goes out. The simple...

If they change the engine over (quite common with lots of Alloytec issues) ask for all the various sensors from the old motor. You own them. Get them back. Any accessories too. Keep them for spares. Coils, injectors belt tensioner.

New to this and would love help or advice

There isn’t anything performance wise you can do really. The engines are already at their maximum. Leave the exhaust alone. V6’s sound like shite with an exhaust. Focus on maintaining the car. You’ll learn more. Do the PCV mod. Get the plenum off and give things a clean. Replace your PCV...

Hire an ozone machine. Smell will be gone. Thats guaranteed. They are used to deodorise houses after someone has been a bit not alive for a while. Or after hoarder clean ups. There is a solid work around now. No longer an issue. Can use V6 or VE pedals.
