fixed, got second hand ecu and had it cloned and all perfect now so faulty ecu.

nothing, had it for a few years without any issues or work done to it, it was intermittent to begin with once in a while, never when it was cold, from just after middle of year it started, now its full time every time i start it with errors that need resetting before i can drive it.

just tested ref 2 and 3 at the APP sensor and both came to 5v at exactly same times

other thing that gets me is tech2 says the p0697 is never present any more after its reset until next ignition cycle.

was actually looking one up last night a hantek 1008c, but who knows if i need it right now. everything disconnected off the ref3 of the ecu it still throws the error after each ignition cycle.

to reds? ignition on? it comes on as fast as multimeter reads it, a second or so.

4.983v and about 15 seconds after ignition off it goes to 0v

still doing it, every time i start the car it faults to P0697. i have had multi meter on that circuit and its constant 4.983v on it, if i turn ignition off for 5 seconds and on again with fault cleared it wont come back, but if i turn ignition off for 15 seconds, after the ecu goes to standby...

ive unplugged all the cables today, cleaned them with electrical cleaner and put them back together and will see what gives tomorrow then start probing. no controllers plugged in anywhere. probably never been unplugged from factory.

above seems to be ok, regular codes that im getting now daily are P0697 and C0242 you reckon throttle body could be an issue here? TPS seems ok according to tech2 readings

this doesnit look right after plugging in the laptop and looking a bit further at things. after replacing the battery its fixed a lot of codes, i'm getting 2 regular ones, P0697 and P2138 pretty much every time i start the engine and i have to reset the codes before i can drive anywhere. look...

got new battery today, old one was only 500cca, too small for the car physically as well, so someone skimped out last time in 2016. got a new 700CCA one this time. 3 year warranty. old one tested at 273CCA can tell you know it starts a hell of a lot better and faster. hopefully that my issue.
