I grabbed the cluster that was in the car when I bought it and checked it's manufacture date - it's the same month and year as the manufacture of the car. I can assume safely that the cluster is in fact the original one. I can also conclude that the same issues are showing from cluster to...

i'll trawl through some of the results and see if I can get a part match. and is it possible to still get the extra options by pressing 'set' and 'up' buttons on a level 1 cluster?

i see.... The frustrating thing is - from time to time, all gauges work perfectly and when it does, my engine light, abs light and oil light disappear. the lights at night are not an issue, as they have gone back to normal by the night time. my problem is when the come on through the day by themselves. i normally pull up at work and the lights have come on....

yes mate. normally in the morning....they tend to go back to normal at night.

so you think just a change of relay? i tried pulling the relays and fuses when the lights were stuck on....lights stayed on. only thing able to cut the lights out was by disconnecting the battery. any other ideas?
