'Phone settings for Samsung to work with MyLink?

I've got a Galaxy Note Edge and it doesn't enjoy being plugged in to the USB (it also discharges quicker than it charges when plugged in to it too) - I know i get a "Vista" button in mylink when it is plugged in but can't think at the moment what it does. There used to be a setting somewhere in...

SSV AntiTheft alarm went off for no reason...

the bottle opener and dealer keyring against the key in my pocket has in the past bumped the panic button.. i found moreso i had accidentally popped the boot and would only notice if i saw the car out the front of work or i walked back to the car with the boot up. thankfully i've had nothing...

HSV Mylink display on SSV Redline

are you referring to the EDI screens on GenF HSV's? If so i believe it to be possible but you need an EDI module out of an HSV and then have the mylink reprogrammed with the VINs etc. lotta work but doable if you know someone with the skills and the hardware.

    VF Front Black out opinions.

Yeah no worries mate. for cars as dark as yours (also black and depeding on how i'm feeling on the day prussian steel) i feel it's better with chrome so as to break up the vast amounts of dark colours and emphasise grills etc - white, red, green, orange etc look great with only black and colour...

    VF Front Black out opinions.

I had the 'black pack' fitted from Holden when the car was built - was cheaper than buying everything seperately and getting dealer to install - this was the grille surrounds and DRLs as well as side vents but I also had phantom black mirror scalps fitted to. overall i'm really happy with the...

    VE Horn Pad Emblem

I didn't know they made ones for pontiac.. and the one you linked is of a Buick... but i know JHP Vehicle Enhancements in Melbourne i know they do "conversions" of stock Holdens to the Pontiac look, so i'm sure you could get the airbag cover from them.. i think you have to buy the whole airbag...

    ve vin sticker replacement

The panelbeater who replaced it should have organised this, but you cant get a replacement sticker - Holden wont issue them again. You can however get a letter from Holden (on letterhead) which has pretty much the same info on it. Give Customer Assistance a call an ask them for a letter of...

Why Chevy badges on SS's (not a trolling topic please read)

you're most certainly right... it's a love or loathe for sure (I love, thus I buy) but I'm thinking the general point to this thread is, do what you want to your own vehicle. it could be worse, people could be putting scoop bonnets on their non turbo Commodores like those Korean-vehicle driving...

Why Chevy badges on SS's (not a trolling topic please read)

Is it wrong then that I've replaced the rear Holden badge with a Pontiac one (and left the SSV / AFM badges on), and also put Pontiac centre caps on the alloys of my MY 10 SSV G8?

    VF Commodore

Saw a covered up "VF" around port melbourne this week - was a Berlina Sportwagon... had Calais alloys on it, and was sporting Ecoline E85 Flex Fuel badges... The dash was covered and it had a bra on it, but the grille looks to have taken a Cruze look to it (ie chrome but at top on either side...

    VZ ute indicator sticking

my Monaro started doing it recently too - seemed to be warmer weather, but then just started doing it constantly - even the hazard lights would flash each side at a different speed. I took her to the local dealer and he 'reset the computer' (or whatever the hell they do) and she's been fine...

    Ignition chimes

I think this has been addressed in another thread, but the noise is actually a drivers seat belt reminder - if you buckle up before you turn the car on, it won't make any noise.

Which brand fuel do you use?

I used to use V-Power until they charged me an extra $1 for the fuel card so now i use BP Ultimate or 95 and never looked back. I never use Caltex fuel after friends had issues with it in their commodore (to the point caltex claimed part-fault and paid out).

    New 09 Badge's

I love the new badges but i dont like them being on the left hand side of the boot, or that high. Also not a fan of the AFM/Gas/Diesel badges - I agree with the Prius comment! I'm also not a fan of the removal of the 'commodore' badge. I know everyone knows they are one, but they're not called...

    MY09.5 vs MY09

AFM is on all V8 Automatics - Sedan, Ute, Statesman/Caprice, SportWagon... regarding the shroud and seat belt reminder, I am not sure, but i dare say the utes will get them as it'll all be the same dashboard and front seats... also the reverse camera will utilise the TV screen in V series...

    MY09.5 vs MY09

from what I remember: -silver highlights (currently in new ones but it is a 9.5 feature) -AFM on V8 automatics only -a steering column shroud energy absorber (across the VE sedan range that helps to reduce driver knee injuries) -a passenger-side seat belt reminder (on the Omega sedan for now...

    Ignition colour

Speaking with my local dealer, they introduced Ignition on wagons and utes to bring it in line with the sedans. now that holden don't make "series 2" models due to the resale issues, they feel it's better to make a 2009 car in a 2007 colour so it matches all the other commodores, and no one's...

    190 alloytec badges

I had heard that Holden had to change the engines slightly to meet new emissions targets, and after doing so ended up outputting less or more than 190kW, so they werent able to put 190 badges on as it would've been false advertising. they also didnt make an appearance on the 'series 2' Vz...

latest Wheels magazine (the one with the SSV on the front) also mentions it's shorter design, which I did mention way b4 the big site crash :bang: ... basically Holden know ppl aren't buying "conventional" wagons and are heading for SUV's, so Holden's wanting to tackle a different market - ie...

    2008 model?

I reckon that MY08 features of VE are mainly exterior colours - Holden stated that Morpheous (purple) would be a sedan-only colour, and Atomic, Crunch and K-Pow would be ute-only colours, however a quick glance on holden's website (and an "OMG!" at my local dealer) shows that both ute and sedan...

    VE SSV Diecast???

Classic Carlectables also do good die-cast models, mainly of the Racing versions of Holden and Ford, but do also producton models. at the moment they're focused on the Kingswoods, no sign of VE Race or Road cars at this stage. i wouldn't expect to see any die-cast VE's this year though...

    v8 supercar championship

It's definitely not over! it's only getting started. the new points system is working well; it's letting everyone have a good solid go and puts more emphasis on Qualifying and pit stops than actual racing. what is over is good TV Coverage - Channel 7's is crap coverage. ten never cut races for...
