If there is a tag saying "use LSD oil" its an LSD, but if its got "use high performance oil" its just a V8 diff

I have a vr auto converted to manual. It used to do low rpm but after converted it does around 2100rpm@100km/h and around 2500rpm@110km/h and i believe its still got the standard diff

VR's have the adjustment up and down aswell as in and out too.

I had this noise like 4 or so years ago, i would be driving on the highway in overdrive then hit a hill and it wouldnt kick down and would make that noise of driving over the 'audible lines' but if i took my foot off the acclerator then back on it would kick down and be fine. drove with it like...

use a allen key to remove the memcal cover plate with those star head srews or go get a bit :P

if it doesnt do it under 80km/h and only 90km/h-100km/h when ya put ya foot down to overtake does it kick back a gear or just start thudding/shuddering?

i had this problem, its the torque converter (probably got a crack in it or something and might be throwing loose bits of metal through your gearbox). Get it fixed asap or you will have the problem i had after leaving it for a year and have the car start to bunny hop :P

got mine done at a shop, was a complete conversion from auto to getrag box (they got the box and everything), cost me $3,600 total 3 years ago now i think. Then just last year my clutch was messing up so cost me a further $1500 for a solid flywheel and clutch :P

If the temp sensor is sending the wrong info to the ECU, i.e it will run rich as it might think its constantly cold.

hey mate, i have a getrag in my VR and while back at the mechanics they told me the dualmass flywhell was loose so i got it swapped for a solid fliwheel and new clutch, the kit cost a pretty penny of $1500 though :P

I was driving along one day when bang something went in the front and a hell of a noise was comming from the motor, turned out to be the harmonic balancer and there was a big chunk of rubber sitting on top of my battery from the balancer. Got it replaced and no noise.
