ok got the idle sorted, took it tuner and had it dropped by 200RPM WOW now sounds like a V8 idling at 650RPM and have no problems driving it.

well i beg to differ? i have a 2004 VY SS SERIES II HBD that has a HSV sticker on the inside of the drivers door? and the vehicle is numbered?

Thx digamma I bought one and can have heaps of gauges using torque lite, but for some reason it won't stay connected to the laptop?

yea the brother has 1 of those but i would like something like torque that has gauges you can watch on the screen all at once in real time

UPDATE: think i have sorted it....i changed MAF back to my old 1 and problem seems gone.

AC not working as have leak in pipes

battery good, doesn't have any probs starting or running anything, it was laboring until the other day when i had to replace starter solenoid and crank angle sensor.

well i wouldn't say it's running cold, i would say hot if anything as my gauge needle sits around half when normal driving and higher when round town driving

UPDATE While driving home today it started doing it again, but this time held 2500RPM, with no throttle applied, try stabbing the throttle thinking maybe frayed cable to no avail i did notice that when it's doing it the temp gauge stops working?

Hi guy's have an issue with the SS for some reason when driving along it seems as if the throttle starts working on it's own as if cruise control is holding it's current speed even though cruise is not on, when it does this if i try to put more throttle on the car will completely cut out then...

Hi guy's where in Brisbane can i go to get my SS sorted? it has issues and the only way i can see is it's going to have go on a computer, i don't want it dyno tuned i jusy want the miss fixed and the base idle set properly

Thx tonner will have a go at it tomorrow, does it have to be at operating temp? oxygen sensors never been done as far as i know, the vehicle looks as stock as the day it came off the production line lol

Hi tonner I did do a idle relearn procedure but only the 1 where you have to pump the throttle 5 times, not the 1 your suggesting assuming it's the same for my VY?

No hole in throttle butterfly at all, the car is all original, according to Gregory's manual idle for 6 speed manual should be 650RPM ?

There is no hole in the butterfly.

UPDATE: Hi guy's found out what it was, my rear right Tyre had let go in the wall in 2 places, put new tires on and all good now ;)

Hi guy's Have a VY SSII LS1 GENIII and for some reason i can feel i slight thudding or thumping through the body when at 100k's along highway, anyone have any ideas? i thought it might be the center tailshaft bearing?

I had this issue the other day and it turned out to be a cracked ceramic on 1 of the plugs, didn't even see it till someone mentioned it, then i took a closer look, replaced the plug and now all good ;)
