    T56 Selector Fault

My mrs younger brother has come up here for Xmas (11hour drive) he has a VU SS ute with i believe with the T56 6spd. He has lost all gear selection. He only got the ute back last week after getting it fixed for the same fault. We stayed up north for NYE so its been flatbeded to an RACQ depo 2...

    VS V8 spark plug leads

Is there a trick to getting these things off? They have a silver metal case on the outside. The rubber seems to spin on the plug itself but i have pulled extremely hard on it and then wont come off the plug...? Is there a trick to getting em off? They look factory.

    4HDD to 5HDD auto-trans swap

I put a 5HDD in to replace my 4HDD. Same sorta thing had a 95 VR and used a VS Lexcen box. Didnt take to much notice of the pins but once it was all in, notice the engine light on for about 5 secs after starting it. I think i ended up with this fault code: Code 67 - TCC ON-OFF Solenoid Control...

    Photoshoppers

Wondering if anyone feels like having a crack at this. Try and lower this ute a few inches so the tyres are about level with the underside of the top of the guard. And if possible stick these FR simmons on it, preferably with the gold centres.... To much to ask??? Cheers.

    Low V's Super Low

Any one got any more pics of lowered VR/VS's? Preferably utes. Keen to go super low i think. Not sure if i need lowered shocks and shorted bump stops to suit?

    Low V's Super Low

Whats peoples opinions on low springs versus super low springs into a 5L VS II Ute? Will super low be to low to be practical? Do lowered shocks/struts need to be fitted for super low springs so the shocks dont bottom out? Any pics would of low and super low would be appreciated to. Thanks.

    Wheel Offset

My mate is looking at buying a VS II Ute, he has spotted some 2nd hand rims that he likes but the seller reckons they were previously fitted to a VP Calais with IRS. Would the rim offset be correct going from VP IRS to VS solid axle? The seller said it would be as before previous to the VP...

    major service

Good luck finding these parts on a Buick V6...... Save yourself $20!!!! Basically mate, your up for a wad load of cash, you can bet that all the suspension bushes need replacing, shocks, balljoints, wheel bearings. Well worth replacing diff oil, trans filter/fluid, oil/filter, fuel filter...

    leaking coolant

Rapeco have em, its the vacum operated heater tap. But a big bolt in both sections of the hose once removed from the tap and clamp it up with hose clamps. Or just fit a piece of pipe in place of the heater tap. Just means there will be no control over the hot water passing through the heater core.

Had the same issue. Had the pinion/carrier bearings replaced in the diff. All good. As for the clanging going into gear most likely uni joints on the tail shaft.

    VR Air conditioning leaking

The heater assy is that entire black box. Its got the AC evaporator in it, the heater core, flaps, and blower motor all attached to it. The pipes you are talking about are the supply and return pipes for the heater core. I cant think of what that black hose is? Jump under the car and as ive...

    Thoughts on this mod please

Thats what i meant to say. Doh!

    Thoughts on this mod please

Alters the reading coming from the water temp sensor and fools the ECU into thinking the engine is colder then it is. So it runs it a little richer. More fuel same amount of air = poor fuel economy, less power. Save your money for a real mod.

    VR Air conditioning leaking

There is no hose. The drain is part of the lower section of the heater box assy. The drain is above the gear box towards the passenger side. Sounds like the drain may not be seated properly in the floor pan, or you have a leaking heater core. There is also the possibility that the drain is...
