I had my 10k service today at a different dealer. I got them to have a look at the fuel gauge and told them I have never got any more than 55L in the tank. When I picked up tonight the guy insisted it had a 60L tank in it... Friggin hopeless!! :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang: :bang:

There must be a way to cut them into the gaurds cos I've seen a VP and a VS with them... Seemed to look ok from a distance (The job that is). Can't say that it looked all that good as far as matching the car!

Sorry if I offended you mate! I just can't understand how a fuel gauge could operate in that way?? It's job is to tell you how much fuel is in your tank at any given time. With what you're saying at what point in time are you going to have that amount of fuel in the tank that the gauge is...

Apparently (Haven't read that bit) according to the car manual you have to press the brake pedal once before the cruise will activate... Is the switch or switches on your brake pedal switching? ie When you press the pedal is the computer getting the signal from the switch to say you've hit...

Won't effect how low it goes... The height of your car is determined by the springs in it. If you put kings low springs in, it should drop to the kings spec height usually measured by the center of your hub to the gaurd or HTG height. (mine actually dropped a little lower)...

Bodella my ute has been re calibrated... It's still hopeless, the most amount of fuel I've ever put in is 52L thats with needle on empty low fuel warning and with apparently only 5L in the tank according to the diagnostics menu thingo. I'll have another go next service!

Don't buy them off ebay... The cheapest I've seen is $49 or something. I picked mine up the other day for $25 from Holden... It's a piece of piss to put in... Good luck!

Well they certainly made a difference with the calibration! hehe By about 5 litres. Takes 50 litres to fill it from empty with 50km till empty running around 10.5L/100kms... Seems the gauge is out by around 15L Next step might be to shred a european passport and stuff it down into the petrol...
