Greetings. I've just had the motor in my VX blow up, and found a fairly decent VY to replace it. However, the tailgate latch doesn't work, you can just lift the tailgate without pressing the button. Planning on stealing the latch from the VX cause that one works, but am wondering how hard it's...

Looks like the clips have deteriorated on mine :/ Might try a cable tie to hold it in... Mine seems to be missing the tabs that click into the holes in the metal bracket, keeps trying to slide off :/ Did manage to get it back in there yesterday, where it stayed on the hour's trip home, but...

Anyone had this happen to them? I was sitting in my car listening to music while waiting for the wife, when I glanced down, and saw a grey shape near the brake pedal. Just happy I saw it now, instead of it getting caught under the brake pedal. Any ideas on how to secure it? Thanks Nchy

Nope, both little grey clips were still on the loom plug. It's really got me scratching my head. Nchy

How much stuffing around did you have to do to get the subs in the tailgate?

Not sure, same colour as the rest of the car, power window switch was plugged in, inside skin is the same as the rest of the doors, so ... I dunno... colours the same on the inside of the door as the outside is, so yeah... Nchy

Thanks for this, managed to get one of the clips from a wreckers for $5 (I'm a cheapskate :P), door thingi works properly now :)

Thanks Nut Kracker... Took the skin off the door, and found that the loom going to the actuator was UNPLUGGED.... as in waving in the breeze (if there was a breeze in the door, I'd be worried) Plugged it back in and it's working now. Now to reassemble door.... Nchy ps Door reassembled and...

Just bought the wagon last Thursday, and have found that this door in particular won't lock or unlock with the rest of the doors. Would I be right in thinking it's the actuator? And how hard is it to replace said unit if it's bad? Thanks Nchy
