Mate, it really depends on how you drive it. I've got a VY SV8 and general driving (ie not playing little boy racers haha) I average between 11.6 and 12.4 liters per 100km however drag off several cars at lights and test your 0-100km/hr times and it can quickly go upto figures like 18 or 19...

Well I had a VR V6 Berlina and I was averaging 10.8L/100km. I've now got a 2004 VY SV8, driving fairly lightly and about 60% of motorway driving (according to the trip computer I'm averaging 58km/hr) I'm averaging 12.4L/100km doing roughly 230km/week so less than $10/week more in petrol to run...

Hi all, I've being changing plugs in my cars for years, So I'm not stupid, I know how to change them, My old car (VR Berlina V6) was tricky to get the ones at the back but wasn't too bad. But looking at the engine bay of my SV8 I can't see an easy way to change the plugs. Anyone know how it is...

No problem Tim, If you want anymore info just PM me, I have my radar detector wired into this plug so I've got the wiring colour codes and part numbers of the plug and pins. I can throw you a couple of photos too if it helps

Can you not wire it in to the standard carkit plug (which has audio mute, sound through the stereo speakers, power etc) which is located behind the dash on the passangers side??

Hi all, The last couple of weeks my stereo steering wheel remotes have being playing up, all the buttons work except sometimes the down volume works as the increase volume, the increase volume works as it should or as the mute. Sometimes the whole right hand side mimicks the left hand button...

After some drilling of the "cage" I made to support the unit behind the surround I managed to keep the usb plug in the Iriver and have the other end of the download usb cable in the glovebox so when I want to add files I can just take my laptop to the car and plug in an extention usb cable. Thanks for all the positive comments....It's always good to see other peoples views on things. The surround is a standard Holden part intended for factory optional Sat Nav. Not the cheapest bit of plastic I've ever found, NZ$82 for the surround. (I'm sure there's probably an after market one...

Brand new in NZ the RRP is NZ$63,100 for a VZ SS and NZ$53,400 for the VZ SV8. The best private sale price for a 2004 VZ SS I've found so far in NZ is NZ$44,600. Even the Nov 04 one at $46,000 was stock standard apart from tints with 32,000 km's on the clock. I don't see how there can be that...
