    Mistaken Identity

I used to have a company VY, (I work in the mines), it was white and had an amber light with tail lights on either side mounted on the roof. On the nudge bar was a collection of aerials, phone and two radios. Now I used to travel right through central Qeensland and would do around 8 to 10000 k's...

    Its True

There's a town south of Brisbane and sort of east of Warwick in Northern NSW called Woodenbong... Now that takes imagination. :yeah:

    I used to Have.....

Eh I had an EH special for quite a few years... a lotta years ago, can't remember the year build but it was build number 1592. It was a very cool car, the previous owner had slipped a 186 into it and as a 19 year old I spend some money on it and had it singing... Hit two kangaroos in it on the...

    Living In Australia

Yes I speak very basic Russian, good Swedish and basic German. I dont really think that speaking those tongues have done much good here in Australia but in Europe it helps immensly. :yeah:

    Living In Australia

I totally agree with all you have said, I love the bush. And you are right in saying Hervey Bay has commercialized but I will have made my money from my house on that front so no problems...

    Living In Australia

Thanks guys, I am moving from Hervey Bay Qld. I have just returned from a years stint in a little country called Armenia. That was a real eye opener, beautiful place but very poor and still set in its Russian/Soviet culture. Going to work at Lake Cowal in the mine there. I have worked all...

    Living In Australia

People, I have a question for you all... I have been offered a job working just out of West Wyalong and I wonder if anyone here has lived there and could give me a perspective of what the town is like. (For those of you who don't know, it is about 450k's west of Sydney) Now I don't need...

    Australian Etiquette

AUSTRALIAN ETIQUETTE IN GENERAL 1. Never take an open stubby to a job interview. 2. Always identify people in your paddocks before shooting at them. 3. It's tacky to take an esky to church. 4. If you have to vacuum the bed, it's time to change the sheets. 5. Even if you're certain...

    Petrol price ripp-off

I agree totally, we can't turn our backs on anyone but what is there to stop us independantly producing our own fuel and oil outside of the OPEC monopoly and their dictated market prices??? I just think that because we have the necessary resources we should not be able to use them to our own...

    Petrol price ripp-off

Fat Cats!!! What really gets up my nose is the availability of Australia’s natural resources and the fact that we just package them all up and export them. If you have a look we have enough oil and gas to satisfy Australia’s demand totally. Why don’t our Governments just tell the oil...

Higher octane fuels - your own comments.

Pulp... I have been using PULP for around 7 or 8 years now in a variety of cars. To start I had an EL company Falcon and when I ran it on PULP the economy certainly increased. The saving far outweighed the extra cost per litre. The power increase of the dear Falcon was not really...

    Dolly the Dog.

A real ad from Colorado!! FREE to an approved home. Excellent guard dog, loves other small-dog breeds. Answers to the name of Dolly. Will eat anything, owner cannot afford to feed her anymore, as there are no more kids, thieves, murderers, rapists or molesters left in the neighborhood...

    My Ride

I just added a 1/4 mile run chart from the DDI that records these runs and other stuff! :)

    My Ride

Comes with a palm pilot that has a heap of software in it. It is the SAT NAV and allows you to monitor the cars performance. It has a 1/4 mile run in it, christmas tree lights etc.

    6l 6 speed fuel economy

I have an SV6000, has around 8000klm on it now. Have had computer remapped, (VCM Suite), extractors fitted and high flow cats. Getting 9.6/100 on the highway and around 12/100 in town, (if I go steady on the loud pedal).:yeah:

    My Ride

Have just added spec sheet to jpegs. If I get my sh*t together, tomorrow I will add a file that shows the last 1/4 mile run using the DDI.

    My Ride

Taking some use of the DDI in the car I ran a quater mile yesterday and got a reasonable time even with a little wheelspin. 12.8 seconds. Will be hard to get any better, perhaps slick tyres and a hot day. Or even a professional driver.

    WTF is with these clowns

W@nkers that don't deserve licences! I had a di**head the otherday decide that he need to race me from a set of lights in sleepy little Gladstone, Qld. He was driving a dressed up VT ute and purposely switched lanes so we could be side by side at the lights, he gave it a few revs, I just...

There were only 50 built, in any colour you want as long as it's yellow! About 80 large plus extras!

    My Ride

Went for a small run the other day, on a piece of highway that is in the boondocks of country Queensland, which shall of course remain nameless. The road aint flash but wide and straight. Turned the digital speedo on and gave it a squirt....ran out of road in fifth cog at an indicated 262...

    My Ride

Bought new, around two months ago, although built late 2005. Is a manual, I don't know how many autos were built, although I think that were only a few. See attached interior, it doesn't show the stitched SV6000 in the door trim though.:yeah:

    My Ride

I don't think I'll do the side vents, I really don't think they are that bad. Engine mods were, extractors, exhaust, cold air intake(better than the stupid HSV one), and a computer edit, (VCM Suite). The car started off at around 225Kw at the wheels and after the mods and tune is pulling...

    My Ride

New SV6000 Bought SV6000 a few of months ago. Very nice ride. :) Had my engine tuner do a few mods, nothing outrageous and the engine now pulls around 370Kw. Aside from bulk grunt the brakes are very, very impressive. Using the DDI interface, I ran a bit of a rough 1/4 mile, quite a bit of...

    HSV’s Limited Edition SV6000

Mine pops out of first on occasions as well, I thought I just had a lazy arm! Goes like hell though and the brakes are tollally awsome. If the devil drove a car I am sure he would he would drive one of these! It will break traction in 3rd cog with cold tyres, very scary if you are not ready...

    HSV’s Limited Edition SV6000

It's a shame HSV detune the engines before they stick them in Aussie cars. The exhaust is not done, headers or extractors are not fitted. I have sent mine to my engine tuner in Brisbane and at some cost he is getting around 370Kw to 380Kw from it.:yeah: Must do excersize if buying a...
