Turned out the radiator cap had come apart inside the neck..couldn't make the bloody cap fit..duh..proud of myself for spotting that. Followed the instructions of Stooge but engineering mode says coolant temp is about 96 degrees..funny..temp gauge is as it always has been

Not planning on looking at or touching the yellow peril

So plan is to put maybe a litre of coolant into radiator, jack car up at front, use funnel with more coolant in it, start car and watch temps/wait till bubbles stop then wait till it cools down and add new cap Thoughts please

Yep,I'm real confused. The resevoir should be reading minimum whilst cold, which it's not and the radiator seems empty Need a new radiator cap now I know I'm a bit dull but someone just tell me what to do in which order again

He put the coolant in both but now the radiator looks empty

rang local mechanic who says check radiator, which appears to be empty though the reservoir is over full

It's supposed to be an LY7 but there are only 4 holes, not 6
