So I got bored. I didn't want to spend $120 on some custom holder and mount from holdmyphone.com.au
I had some bits n pieces lying around from when I put my shed and the shelving together. I found a L shaped 2mm thick steel. I made the hole bigger and put my 5 dollar SCA phone holder.
Add a...
I went the lazy option and got a Gerni and karcher to quickconnect adapter
Conversion Universal 1/4" Quick Connect Kit for Pressure Washer with Jet Nozzles | eBay
There are cheaper ones
I have a 12m hose
.
Still a good starter product as they are easy to use.
I agree though. I use carpro , NV and gyeon mainly with occasional random other brands like ethos etc. Meguiar's in bulk is the best value inl find.
I like boss gloss and after glow. I don't mind the snow foams, but bilt Hamner and...

Larry is a good place to start. Doesnt really matter what you use as long as you are consistent and follow proper process. Meguairs gold class, or ultimate lines are a good place too start. Bowdens also has a great lineup of products.
That pretty much sums it up.
Water in the major cities in australia are fairly regulated so waterspots (long term mongrel ones that eat into the clear) are "less likley". However recycled water has alot of chemicals. So apartments and carwash bays are notorious for this. Quick detailer when...
The key here is find what works for you and keep doing it. J agree no right way. Eg. I rinse my car thoroughly, then I foam it and use that foam instead of a bucket with multiple towels. Sometimes it's the Costco towels, sometimes it Bowdens mitts. Than I dry using a drying aid. Sometimes I wax...
I normally clothesline in the laundry unless its cold or i have done a full detail for a client so there are heaps. THats when i use dryer. Dryer is good occasionally as it de -lints the towels as well.
get a quick detailer and just lightly mist the towel. Itll help it dry. You may be washing them wrong? if they get fabric softener in the fibers, it streaks and stops it absorbing
I had an issue on a BMW. The parking sensors were not working. No beep nothing. Turns out WATER was caught in them. I sprayed some WD40 into the sensors and waited a few min (obviously wipe off the wd40 from the bumpers). WD40 (Water Displacement revision 40) displaces water in electronics.
Hand pump one should be enough. And as for spray. Doesnt even need to be a ceramic one. Meguairs Ultimate Spray wax is great while drying. Turtle wax has a Wax and Dry. Turtle Wax T-9 1-Step Wax & Dry - 26 oz. : Amazon.com.au: Automotive
Its one claim is to stop water spots. I use it when doing...
Use BOWDENS Afterglow to dry your car. It will remove any residue that causes spotting from chemicals. Another option is to buy Optimum No Rinse. Add a shot of this in a 20L bucket and suck water out of that in your pressure washer to rinse down or get a pump sprayer and "Spot Free Rinse" your...
I have used it on a massive amount of rash on a Black commodore. Loved it. It makes life so much easier than trying to paint using a little pen.
That said, its not perfect, but neither is the pen unless you apply, sand apply sand etc.
Bit late to the party here
Look up dr color chip. If you have more than one or 2 chips scattered, dr color chip is great. I bought my car with stone chip rash and now you can't see them
I had issues with my old car and the hose just coming loose.
Im worried the intake pipe (lack of mechanical knowledge here) will press on the radiator hose and either dislodge it or cause issues.
Hmmmm nice
I have the Walkinshaw as growler, bought off eBay 2nd hand, but I haven't put it on again since the position sits dangerously close the the radiator hose. This may help that...thanks.
My 16 redline looked like someone had washed it was a cat. It was a grey colour. Very bad. Meguiars ultimate compound and than some car pro essence and it came up great. Than I coated it with a consumer ceramic coating.
Different paints and single stage / clear coated all respond differently to different waxes. My old VS looked great with Meguiar's paste waxes responded well on that
A good Ceramic coating will reject chemicals and dirt far more efficiently than a good spray sealant or wax. There are some really good spray sealants that get close and most spray sealants will out perform most waxes. Very generalized statement for the waxes and sealants.
A Ceramic coating...
Jumping in a bit late here.....I detail on the side (not a full pro but done enough cars to be helpful) and this is my 2cents and opinion. For my commodore, I opted for spray sealants + ceramic coating. The paint can be a bit thin and softish. Before i coated, i was using a decent spray sealant...
I had a massive argument with NRMA. Other than Shanons, no one is affordable when it comes to SS> Log an official complaint with NRMA and they will jack the agreed value up. I think mine is set at 47.5K
Exactly my situation. Under warranty until May. Capped price service. I'll be doing an interim service in January or February with NRMA who will do a full warranty inspection plus a service before I take it back to Suttons and make them change Everything I can

Going from a VS to a VE to a VF2 redline, I lost touch with my car. The VS I did everything (and previous cars). The VE was a Calais and it turned me off because it was so complicated. Forgot that it isn't a BMW and that brakes are brakes. Just because they're RED it doesn't mean they're...
A month on...it hasn't moved. Haha. I bumped into a mate at Suttons. He was going in for brakes. I checked it and laughed at him. Showed him this thread. He went home. I checked it yesterday on his Colorado and same thing. It hasn't changed.
