hey all, been a while since i been on here and upgrade from my vt daily to this wagon in sept last year
bought it stock and has had a bit of money and changes done in the time i have owned it...
mods include....

small update as i havent ben on here for ages..... I decided to ditch the manual and go back to auto.... got myself a low kay turbo jatco then I got a full manual valve body fitted and put a 2800 stall in with it... oh and I cant forget the b&m pro ratchet shifter aswell.... the vl is so much...
from going by ya first picture u have a nipple screwed into the front housing of the turbo and a nipple off the internal gate..... that's all u should have and as Nath said in the diagram he showed u, put a piece of vacuum hose between them, if u want a boost controller later on it shows that...
That's correct but as I said to have to spin the convertor onto the spin so it mates up to the oil pump... If it not sure what I'm talking about, YouTube is ur friend here... Watch a video of how its done
There's ya issue, it needs to be fitted on to the input shaft when fitting the box back in.. U also need to turn the convertor clockwise on the input shaft til u feel it clicking, on the 3rd click its ready to fitted... The winding of the convertor mates it up to the oil pump

just thought i would update this... have done about 1000 clicks with the new motor in it and it hasnt missed a beat, cant say the same about the 5 speed tho... its shagged but i just picked up and rb20det 5 speed box for it and will go in with a new clutch soon

Yeah should handle 12psi pretty easily but will be sorta on the limits fuel wise... The n/a 5 speed will survive if u don't don't do clutch dumps etc, I'm running a n/a 5 speed but its just about had it tho
hey mate, the setup looks good... u will need the xf throttle body and that should fix ya problem, i had to make make a bracket to fit the vl TPS but i drove my calais for weeks with it disconnected and ran fine... send me a pm if u need help with anything mate

hey mate i have a forward facing plenum on my vlct and the idle gear(aac) on the back is still there but doesnt do anything as i have an XF throttle body to control the idle....
if ur still running the stock throttle body u will need the aac there..
post a pic of ur setup...

cheers for replying mate..... so out of the 2 s/w control wires and the earth u only used 1 s/w/c wire and the earth ??? im looking at a unit similar to what u have but i have noticed some have only the 2 s/w/c wires..

def has berlina door trims/arm rests... also has the arm rest on the console which is something exec's dont have but no tacho dash.... the painted plate above the compliance plates will tell u what it is, get a pic of this plate and i will tell ya
little update.... about a month ago i popped the head gasket on the 30, after years of abuse before i owned im surprised its last so long...
i ended up buying a mates vlt to get the running gear out of it... he spent alot of coin building the motor
the new motor is a factory A8 block with acl...
thats a great stating project dannc.... u should be able to get a nose cone in the same colour from a wreckers, and maybe the bars aswell, top work

i frequentally drive frem here(maclean nsw) to bris which is just under 300 kays and it cost me 20 bucks each way, my vl is runnin cheaper on the highway since i just did a 5 speed conversion 4 weeks ago..... i have only every been able to get 48-50 litres of fuel into my vl from dead empty...
