You can use a standard puller, but you just have to put some nuts on the bolts that come from the steering wheel puller. With the steering column shroud removed, its not that difficult. I actually used a harmonic balancer remover to do mine, but they are very similar.

If its only 10 wires I might do the same thing. To replace the loom with the proper loom requires pulling the dash out it seems! Do you need to run the wire to the ECU serparately. I would imagine this is to tell how much fuel is being used?
