Go speak to the guys at Autobarn. It's been a few years since I did mine, but I think there was an additional adapter to make the steering wheel controls work. It wasn't cheap, but I did buy it and it worked flawlessly.

If you want to try to take the fascia off, from memory it's just two screws, one above the tacho one above the speedo. then it should just slide out. You could try using a bit of plastic, like a milk bottle(perhaps tinted) to try and diffuse the brightness a little bit!

Not sure of the V6 setup, but on my old LS1 the joiners in my PCV hose were all perished causing vaccuum leaks, wreaked havoc on my engine when taking the foot off the accelerator. fixed them up and all good!

I've actually used araldite on an external trim on a previous car I had many years ago, worked really well, never came off again! Just be warned though, you'll never get it off in the future without damaging something.... Whatever you use, make sure you clean all surfaces thoroughly....

Do you clear the codes after you've scanned them? if you don't clear them, they'll pop up the next time you scan. When the car cuts out, if you turn off the ignition and turn it back on again (without attempting to start), can you hear the fuel pump run?

Hmm....I'd only be guessing for the majority of that, but I do know that electric window switch lights are LED.

One guy had a really good write up with pics and everything but he took it down because people were screwing up their dashes and then messaging him for help. He got sick of the messages and just took it down. I think the thread I posted above is about the only thread left.

To the best of my knowledge, the VY doesn't use those, they're coloured LED's. So, no.... I think the only place you'll find them is the ignition barrel
