Once again, so true... I like the VY interior dash, so sharp, so might stick with that. Since the clubby kit doesn't look so good on the VY, think the SS is my best choice... I don't know how many mods I'd get, just wondering, but exhaust is a must, CAI, and I guess I'll see how I go after...

Yeah the SS kit just looks way better... I like the extra features in a Calais, like the sunroof, different dash panel, and leather int, climate control and the like, but they aren't on all models are they? Just some... so will keep a look out.. but the Calais doesn't have the sportiest kit...

Lol! Thought the SV8 was the same as the SS, but without the kit and stuff... though if I drive a V8, I want it known that its a V8... no sleeper for me...

LOL! My thoughts exactly... I love the VY... when I first saw the one I was buying, I just fell in love... and that will always be my fav commodore... after owning a VN and a VS and a VT... VY is the best... Will look for a VY SS I guess... leather interior is nice, but not that easy to fine...

Yeah my thinking was to go for the VY 5.7 and as my name suggests, I had a Black VY before, so if I can get a VY V8, I'll be stoked :)

Thanks for the reply mate. Well I live in Outer Western Sydney and work in the city, so I take a train in. I walk to the station (about 6 minutes walk) unless its raining badly. I drive about 3km to the shops and 3km back one night a week for grocery shopping with the family and on the weekends...

Thats so true mate, I was looking at the Sv6, which is supercharged, so that is 195kw on the VZ, but thought to myself for the same price, maybe even a couple of grand more, I could get a V8 with 225kw, and way more bolt ons for it... so V8 is the way to go... True about the Calais and...

Sorry, just got to pick my jaw off the floor... lol... damn that is an awesome Monaro... If I can save another 10-12 k this year, then I should be able to afford a monaro, but right now, I have about 10k I can play with... need more money, or to win the lotto... lol... I think if I had a V8...

WOW! Where is this mech who charged you $10 to get it reset? The light is on in my car and my mech told me it will be about $400 to change the clock spring, so thats a bit much... :(

Yup, thats what I'm thinking... Thats what I had with my VY and it was pretty nice... so might do the same thing again. Was looking at the SS induction kits and stuff, with the growler thing... any opinions on that? Its just a less restrictive airflow I guess, but thats a good thing..

Took the car for a drive yesterday and could smell burning rubber and the brakes are a bit soft... could the guy not have bled the brakes properly? They were new brakes he fitted on himself... If the brakes need to be bled, can I do it myself or should I take it to a shop?

Well I have the standard airbox at home.. came with the bunch of spares, and all the pipes for the standard setup, plus a new panel filter... think I should just put all of them back together?

Yup, I was thinking of putting the pod in a box, but I don't know how to make the box... also I have a large after market radiator, so don't know if I have room... will have to take it to someone to see if I can get an OTR or a bigmouth CAI like I had on my VY... right now the pod filter is just...
