    VZ SV6 Misfiring? :(

I can understand that mate... Have you considered replacing the coils? I've had the same rough idle problem a couple of times now and both times I replaced just one coil (tried one at a time till I found the dodgy one) to fix the problem. I've now got it starting to happen again so this time...

Apologies for double posting but I just read this post and thought I'd respond to say that jockey's do some pretty friggen crazy things to lose fat. The gym I used to go to had a jockey frequent there, and he'd spend all his time running on a treadmill, wearing thick trackies, jumper and jacket...

Good write up mate, but..... I was discussing avocado with my wife last night just by coincidence. As she has begun to love the stuff and is eating it a hell of a lot lately, I made a quick mention to her that it is high in fats. She said she thought it was good fats and shouldn't worry about...

Need some info on ABN's and how they work

Not really... I was adding that you can't just simply collect GST, you need to be registered to collect it. I also don't see any harm in discussing the topic, that's the whole point of a discussion forum isn't it?

Need some info on ABN's and how they work

Just adding to what you said.... If you are turning over $75k or more per annum you are required to be registered for GST, and hence collect GST and submit BAS statements. If you are turning over less than $75k per annum, GST is optional but you can't just simply "collect" it, you need to be...

JC Political Thread - For All Things Political Part 2

I never said I agree with the carbon scheme/tax "reform"/ALP. Just wanted to put it in perspective. We would all be paying less tax every year under the new scheme, thanks to the threshold being increased by $12k. I am (was) a labor voter, but at the same time, I did vote for Rudd, not Gillard...

    Installing a "kill" switch

I see what you're getting at mate and I can't see an issue with it. As long as you break the cable after the ignition barrel and use the same size cable or larger, I really can't see the need for a relay. With the switch off (open circuit) nothing will happen when the key is turned to the engine...

JC Political Thread - For All Things Political Part 2

They will be paying a higher % tax rate for their taxable income, but their actual taxable income will be substantially less. For someone earning $30k a year, they will fall into the first rate bracket of 19%, but since the first $18k is tax free, they will only pay tax on $12k. So; Current...

I've got three kids.... two to my ex partner, and a 1 month old with my wife. With my first two I used to have the same feelings as you, couldn't wait for them to grow up, walk around, talk so they can tell us what they're feeling instead of just crying or making noises which we can never...

    Haunted House

Not everyone. My grandmother is very open to this sort of stuff and has plenty of stories to tell, and it doesn't scare her at all. She believes that all of her experiences have simply been family members that have passed away coming to visit her. All of her experiences have been in her house in...

How to fix the sticky indicator in a VZ Commodore (BCM)

Thanks mate, I have a good idea about how to go about it. I'm an electrician and obviously do quite a bit of soldering with my work, but not a hell of a lot of work on small PCB's. Although I have tinkered with them before and like I said, I am confident with soldering the relay back on but have...

How to fix the sticky indicator in a VZ Commodore (BCM)

Picked up my relay today and will attempt the fix tomorrow hopefully. For those of you that did the soldering yourselves, how did you de-solder the old relay from the PCB? I'm confident with soldering but have never actually de-soldered anything off an PCB before.

    what tyres do u suggest?

I've been using Nankangs and find them to be great. Last long enough and heaps of grip, especially in the wet... BUT.... there's heaps of road noise. Would love to reduce the road noise! I think I'll take some of the suggestions in this thread into account the next time I replace my tyres.

    Running problems on LPG

I've replaced two coils in the last year after having the exact same symptoms you have experienced. Replaced one the first time, and about three weeks later I started experiencing the issues again, so replaced another coil. Has been good now for at least the last 6 months. If it happens again...

Need wiring diagram for vz BCM

From your PDF: "First step is to remove the lower dash, which is just above the accelerator pedal. Once you have removed that, the BCM is located directly above the accelerator pedal." There's no steps there to show how to actually remove the lower dash. Thanks, Shannon

Need wiring diagram for vz BCM

Quick question... how the hell do you remove the lower dash to access the BCM? I had a quick look this afternoon and couldn't figure out how to remove it, and have been searching the net for the last hour looking for an answer but can't find it. It's probably really easy and obvious, and if so...

I'm following this thread with great interest! Thanks for the work you've already put into this dolsen, I've saved your pdf from the other thread and eagerly await the follow-up. Will probably tackle part 1 of the job on the weekend if I get a chance.

    Idiots not keeping left!

This is one of my most hated things on the roads. Last weekend I was driving back home to Melbourne from Albury. I was in the right lane, behind another car, as we passed the slower traffic in the left lane. Out of nowhere one car in the left lane suddenly pulls out in front of the car in...

Coalition unveil their broadband and internet policy

I agree with most here that 12Mb/s is enough for households (currently using 1.5Mb/s and coping ok... definitely not loving it but it does the job) but I personally think the fibre upgrade is necessary. The fibre network will be much more reliable than the current copper network, especially as...

Calais - Indicators sticking on when un/locking car remotely

Thanks mate, I PM'd him early this week and still waiting for a reply. Last night I forgot to check if it had gone off when locking my car, and sure enough it hadn't. So I woke up to a dead battery this morning, hense I'm clutching at straws for a quick fix and hoping it might just be bad...

Calais - Indicators sticking on when un/locking car remotely

My Calais has recently sprung an issue whereby the left hand side indicators will sometimes stay on permanently after locking or unlocking the car remotely. I have done a bit of research and found the most common fault to be within the BCM. I just called my local Holden dealer and was quoted...

    Anybody built a house recently?

Yeah like I said it might not be the case everywhere.. obviously it depends on the tradesmen they hire to do the actual work. But they do have a reputation for pushing out homes as quickly as possible, which in a lot of cases will result in short cuts being taken and cheaper materials being...

    Anybody built a house recently?

I've heard that ALL the mainstream builders are shocking. Even the ones with a reputation for building good quality homes. I'm a sparky and recently been doing some work with a chippy that used to work Porter Davis Homes. Porter Davis was one of the ones that I would have rated very highly up...

    [VIC] (P1) Laws Question!

Doesn't work like that. Most people buy V8's for the power, and will want to use it every now and then. If these P platers that you speak of are worried about the fuel their cars guzzle they wouldn't buy V8's to begin with.

    Ignition coils...

There are a couple you can get out without having to lift the manifold, and luckily enough it was one of those two last time. I might just have to lift the manifold and test each coil for resistence and hopefully find the faulty one.. only having to lift the manifold once. Thanks for the tip.

    Ignition coils...

I recently had a problem with my car running rough (missing) at certain revs and under load, in particular while running on gas, which was diagnosed as a failed coil. I was told there was no way to test which coil it was that was buggered, so trial and error was the only method of finding the...

Mine's doing something similar... first thing I did was check the oil, and it was very low. SVS (service vehicle soon) H E L P - S O S

He's saying the part that Holden use is poor quality. Don't stress... it's the same part we've all got in our Holden's. The complaint is that they are charging way too much for a poor quality part that is prone to failing.
