OK, so by the sounds of things, removing it from the VS is not worthwhile....but would throttle response be improved by anychance (as mentioned in your post AirStrike)??

Speaking of cracks, the mechanic at UltraTune told me my left exhaust manifold has a crack in it. Would this be a contributor to my poor fuel economy??? Also, what exactly is an exhaust manifold - same thing as extractors???

when twisting the key (to turn it on), try holding down the unlock button on the remote..I had similar issues, and it turned out my battery in the remote was flat

If you're talking about the black plastic surround, then yes.....the rest of it is simply clipped in. It'll pry out. Just run a screwdriver along it, and you'll find where its clipped it.....then simply pry those points out.

Well yes........as far as i can see, when you buy the wheel it comes with no airbag or airbag cover ('middle bit' :) )....there must be somewhere you could get one.. It'd look worse that the stock wheel like that !

The top part of the dash has to be removed (black bit surrounding the unit / air con etc) To do this, lower the steering wheel to its lowest position, and maybe pull it out more if it helps you. There are two screws just above where the speedo sits.....unscrew them! Then the whole plastic...

My mate's got a VR Berlina, and to active these 'hidden' functions, he holds down set and down buttons (if i remember correctly) before starting the car...this brings up a bunch of extra features from memory: -digital speedo -digital voltmeter -digital fuel level -diagnostics -fuel tank...

not 100% sure, but i'd say that if it does get professionally installed (like in my case), they would have something they can connect to the computer and alter the reading to that of what it currently is

As I discovered on the weekend, the AC button does infact light up! (all mine needed was a new globe, and it was fine I managed to get the dash almost pefect, so i'm happy with my work. All the lights now work properly. Replacing the AC button is probably the easiest part of the whole job...
