I've been picking up Utes for around 500 and wagons a bit less . So prob drop it a few hundred. I've even thought about making one a 5 seater :) throw a wagon back seat in and wagon fuel tank .

Well if there is interest I'll start on number two . I would love to do a run of 20 or so. Or even a later model further down the road. :)

I'm am willing to do another rolling shell if someone would be willing to at the dollars. Nothing overboard just reasonable coin. Plus I learnt a hell of lot on the prototype so I know what I need to change to make it better so number two would be a better build.

ran out of fuel, sucked all the crud into the pump, probably blocking the one way valve or fuel filter. Try dropping the fuel filter (and change it), and turn the ignition on for a sec to see if the pump is pumping :)

You could redrill the rotors and hubs to the new pcd. Need a good tradesman, but easily doable. Why go away from whats there? Its a common size on a lot of cars if you want different wheel offsets

Its only pollution control stuff. The one on the thermostat is supposed to open at a certain temp to burn the fumes on the charcoal canister IIRC.

you can bung the heater pipes off the engine. Its an auxiliary system that is not required to cool the engine.

looks like a stones gone thru and pulverized into grit. I would assume you are running a softer pad and haven't bedded them in. You could try a few hard stops to try and clean everything up, might make a difference.

If you want to check the brake lights by yourself, grab a paper clip and pull the two plugs off the switch and jam the paperclip into them, then you can go round the back and make sure they work :) Will also eliminate the switch

You end up with all sorts of spanners bent in different ways when working on cars :D You can drop the rear of the box and get them with a long extension or many long extensions and a ratchet :D

no, the rear section it too long. Front half might be the same length. YOu could change the rears over, depends on the problem you have

could be the plug for the gps, the grounds might not be making contact. Also the center contact in the socket might have crud on it if the lighters been used over it's lifetime :D

Plenty of places they rust out in. Boot floor is the worse from bad boot lid seal. Few areas in plenum chamber need to be checked. Check the inside of the doors where the skin is folded over, passenger side is always worse then drivers side. Blue motors are pretty tough, traumatic may need...

you might need to shim the diff a bit. You also need to make sure you are running the correct oil for it too. Cant remember of hand, but it makes a huge difference

you can usually get to the drivers side flange bolts with a couple of extensions and a uni joint. Or if you get the manifold bolts out, crack the passanger side flange bolts and rotate it out of the ay so the drivers side can be pulled to the side

Could be the blinker switch if you eliminate the bulbs, as they have the hi/lo beam switch in them. Changed quite a few back in the day from HX's up.

Make sure the grounds are all connected. Could be feedback from another system, too many on a ve. Could try some filter caps on the power side of the amps to smooth any ripples.
