Just a guess but check battery is secure and terminals aren't lose. Might be faulty ABS module. Try get a code reader on it. If youre in the RACQ get them to come out and look at it.....

agree with kangavxss.....check your crank case breather hoses all the way to the throttle body...at idle... if there is a crack in the hose which is very common....it will idle like a pig and stutter and splutter but will be relatively fine driving....

If your going to do something do it properly and not half arsed and short cut and hope............dont worry bout the coin and just take the manifold off....get a new gasket on there and while your at it clean out the crap in your manifold with carby cleaner...why people think quick and short...

is it an alloytec v6? if so check the cap ( radiator cap) on the motor...these are prone to failure,,,its a common problem...$20-$30 from holden for a new one...just replaced one on an sv6 ve alloytec....no more leak..or yes like said earlier check the heater hoses and conection on the drivers...
