In answer to my own question... one is a direct positive and the other is a signal positive. They are grounded through the bolt hole.

    Crazy VN mods

Omg the jesus bar.... I thought it was just amongst my group but it's everywhere!!!! Patrols are king of the jesus bar. If it's a 'drift' track for the dirt then 16" rims work wicked, however if its a bit boggy get a hold of some 215/65/15's. I had a pair on my R31 skyline for burnouts and they...

what is the problem with my system?

They just try to save costs with one rca cable... I had it happen so many times in mates cars who took them to 'reputable' shops. Alberts in WA is one dodgy place. I have seen them triple tek screw down a 2 gauge cable, after two months the hole and lug started getting rusty bits on it... and...

    Good size cable's

Depends on what current you are drawing through it... What amp? I have an 1100wrms amp with 0 gauge inputs and run 95mm 00 gauge cable to it for minimal volt drop... however that is a bit overkill =) For a 600wrms and above amp I would recommend you run 2 gauge cable. Anything less should be...

    The SC14 Supercharger Thread

You in Perth? I can make that plate, but the pulley looks like it could be a pain in the bum. And lining stuff up straight takes patience and I don't want NO mistakes... Does CRS sell just the mounting plates alone at all? Also, anyone know any wreckers in Perth with $300 SC14's? I'll ring...

Well I promise when I do mine I will post exact dimensions and details... I currently have about $1000 per fortnight to spend on this project. Just paid off the bimmer and that's my income after rent and bills. I'll be seeing a $400 rego bill soon for the bimmer, but other than that I'll...

    The SC14 Supercharger Thread

Ok I am thinking that is the way to go then…. SC14 for the ease of removal. I can run extractors with my 2.5” system and bolt on and off the SC14 if I get defected. I have a full workshop at my work to use including MIG, saw etc so fabricating parts isn’t a problem. The old man is a boilermaker...

    The SC14 Supercharger Thread

Yea there was one last week $1300... not bad, but I am thinking a turbo conversion is going to be more economical. I can get an RB25 T3 Good for 200rwkw for $250 (don't want to rev it past 5500 anyway), manifolds would cost $200 max for me to do myself from stock flipped manifolds and already...

    The SC14 Supercharger Thread

Hi I have the opportunity to buy an SC14 blower, however I am just wondering how different the mounting for this is on the Ecotec compared to the Buick? He has mentioned it was for a VS, however the shaft looks modified and I was wondering whether this will go on the VN. I guess I could chop it...

    [Buick] Engine Reco- Whats invovled?

Really you are going to get the most bang for your buck with a turbo/supercharger conversion. However, rebuilding your engine I have seen the Buick 3.8's doing about ~140rwkw with good NA mods like that.... with boost on a stock motor you should be able to smack on 200rwkw stock internals. I...

vr washer bottle int vp, drilling illegal?

I cut the complete section behind the rear seats on the bimmer out. Bolted subs in behind the seats and then amp rack behind that. You would have to remove the entire stereo, or know about that exact specific model of car to know it has been cut. I dunno about other states but in WA they just...

    [Buick] Exhaust for turbo setup

Turbo definately does... how you think RB25's are running around with 4" exhausts and minimal drone. You should be able to run turbo with hi-flow cat 3" exhaust large single good quality muffler and it would sound nice until you open it up.
