The VY V6 is the 'ye olde' "ecotec" engine which is a 3.8L pushrod engine. The VZ is the new "alloytec" V6 DOHC engine. There is no such thing as an SS Calais. They are two seperate models Hope that helps dude!!:thumbsup:

yeah my SS ute is auto and i can usually get about 13-14l/100kms and thats driving pretty conservatley. even in traffic. but thats not real fun so i tend to get about 17-18 with a grin on me face

good choice on utes. from memory i think the S2 had updated tail lights as well. and the higher output in the v8's as mentioned above. I have a S1 SS ute and dont even notice the difference. plus i hate "Series II" badges on the rear. i always find myself looking at them....

about 40% plenty for burnouts :D

:w00t: Nice ride mate. I got an SS ute in the same colour. Pics in the VY rides page. I wasnt gonna spend as much as i did on purchasing my car but I couldn't go past the colour. Oh and the LS1.....:yeah: I also have seen the dials changed to blue which looks awesome.

My VY SS S1 Ute Here is my new toy. A 2002 VY SS ute. Stock at the moment but its gettin me around nicely and without problems. I only bought it for the colour. The utes look the best in Hothouse imao:D :D

Nice ute man. Should pull pretty hard with manual too. I wouldnt go too low as i used to drive around mt barker a bit. aint worth the damage just for lowness. (i used to have two jap imports slammed into the gound......absolute pain in the arse). At least get the SS headlights. they look the part.
