Hi someone put a how to on changing a VX cruise control stalk over to a VY type and despite searching everywhere for ages I can't locate it, can somebody help please
Hi, I was wondering about getting a camber kit for the VX as it insists on scrubbing out the inside edge, which is best 2 or 4 point, how hard are they to fit and what sort of cost??
Thanks.
Used to have some scaletrix gear as well as cars we used to take to race on bigger tracks in town, everytime I start looking at a set my wife drags me away
The way to bleed the m/cyl is to undo the brake lines and just to let drain until no air comes out ,so I would assume that you can remove the reservoir to clean it with no major problems.
Good on you , I smoked for 36yrs and gave up 4 months ago by using the lozenges. Still feel like a smoke at times but just say no, the feeling only lasts for a few seconds. Stick it out you'll be better off in the long run.
The front seats in the car are starting to look a bit ratty & I am going to replace them, the only problem is they have the air bags in them how much of a problem is it to replace them with standard (no a/bag) either from a vx or a later model ???
Take the car to an auto electrician to get it checked out, you could have fried anything including alternator, wiring etc - sorry I haven't got a better solution for you.
Looking to change rotors on my VX which has ABS, what I would like to find out when putting the new rotors is there anything that has to be reset etc??
Thanks
If you are trying to attempt this yourself go to repco etc and buy a bleeder kit with a one way valve in it,this lets you pump the pedal and top up the master cylinder by yourself.
As said earlier beware..have a look in saturdayd advertiser or on cars guide you'll finf much better (and with cruise etc) for a better price & I agree with the trouble and strife buying from a dealer gives you a warranty and a little piece of mind. Good luk with the search.
Would anyone out there be able to point me in yhe right direction, I have a VX s1 Lumina and the front brakes shudder under any sort of decent braking - is there a replacement rotor and pad that would help fix the problem, Thanx
If you are still losing water take the car to a REPUTABLE radiator specialist and get them to do a cooling system pressure check, they'll put the cooling system under pressure and you can have a good look to see where the coolant is leaking from.
As said before if it's not getting cold it really doesn't need servicing, A good rule of thumb is to run it for 15 minutes every week as that circulates the gas through the whole system and keeps all the seals fron drying out and perishing.
Remove the hose, clean and inspect especially the flanges, for cracking, perishing or wear, the flanges are usually cracked due to overtightening. If it shows any signs of these throw it away and get a new one.
If you are a member of the RACV call their legal department for advice - just to put your mind at ease but like everyone else here it sounds like you've done the rightie so it is buyer beware!!
