Changing diff ratio in VZ SS - how can speedo be corrected?

Anyone with a Tech2 can do it. But getting a good tune will help you get the most out of the change.

Bent push rods in my 6.2ltr

Ummm, did the last owner do any backyard repairs, or work done by a stupid mechanic? Is the car modified? They should all be the same. As for why they are bent, you will need to do some serious investigation as to what happened before you knock a valve into a piston or something.

Low Speed Tolerance Could Increase Crashes - Study

    1. Cops don't make any of the road rules, or get to choose the speed tolerances, or any of that crap. They are just the people that have to do the dirty work that the Government tells them to do. Don't like what they do? Go complain to your local member. 2. I call bullshit on too many drivers...

    Fast Internet?

I disagree. FTTH is a much better system. Fibre technology is constantly improving, and as long as the fibre is laid, a simple upgrade of the sending and receiving points will result in an upgrade of speed. FTTN still relies on antiqued copper cables and hardware, while is already at End Of...

    Fast Internet?

It's funny that my brother got Cable internet about 12 years ago that had a 30mbps connection. Yet this is our awesome! fantastic! amazing! for the future! NBN program. Thanks LNP you idiots.

    Fast Internet?

I'd post up speeds, but I don't want people to laugh too hard. The fact that a 11 year old complete housing estate only had ADSL 1 up to just over 2 years ago will give you an idea as to what I think of Telstra. Thank-you pair-gain rims, you arseholes. It should have been illegal that Telstra...

Very much agree. Though I hate 4WDs with lift kits, reflector headlights and HIDs the most.

    Ubuntu

Just bought myself a cheap older server, going to have a toy around, since this is new to me. Having a play with some different OS, just finish downloading Ubuntu, and will play with it within VMWare. If nothing else, it will give me a bit of linux experience for when I turn the Server into a...

Well if its a Samsung, just jump on Sammobile, download the latest non-carrier rom for your model, flash it with Odin, and boom, as Samsung made it, not as your carrier ####ed it. On topic, while I am against Apple products, it seems to me that Apple are taking the Intel approach, very minor...

    TECH2 Ebay

Sorry mate, got mine of AliExpress years ago. Long since deleted all the emails. But like Gaiter says, check out Envyous Customs. Tazzi has some very nice programs that can do even more than a Tech2. Plus he is a top notch guy who bends over backwards to support you.

    Thoughts on this track VT

LOL. Because race car! Apparently the HSV memcal can change the make of a vehicle from a Commodore to a HSV. And those Monaro 'big brakes' look very standard VT to me. And I assume the fire extinguisher is because the car is so **** it keeps catching fire. Car is unroadworthy due to the back...

Changing out vt v6 diff advice

I've done my VY before, and it should be exactly the same. Undo all the allen key head bolts on the cv shafts. Either hold them up with some rope or something, or undo them at the wheel side too. Undo the bolts holding the tailshaft on, make sure its held up with rope or something, don't let it...

    Just lost my only key

Locksmiths might not be able to do it. Is the car locked or unlocked at the moment? If it is locked, you will need a physical key to open a door. Holden have the codes to make a new one on the spot. Then they will need to program the physical key to the computer. And for good measure they can...

  26. A

I am seeking opinions about exhaust systems for a VY.

When you say 1 pipe from the cat, I'm assuming you have a V6. If you want the car to sound like shite, go twin 2.5" on a V6. Twin 2.25" if the absolute max, but even that is really for a charged or turbo'd V6. Single 2.5" is way more than enough for a standrad Ecotec.

    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

I didn't get angry, I don't do that. And I've done my piece and I haven't even thought about it since then. I annoyed me because of the reasons posted in my previous response, and I did what I thought was right.

    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

I took it as far as I did because they pissed me off multiple times. First by selling me $25 worth of sugar pills. Seconds by me driving an hour for them to refuse to refund it. Third by their head office by feeding me a bunch of bullshit. And then forth by me then spending another hour...

    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

Yeah I saw that. And I rang the TGA to ask whether its worth filing a complaint. The lady informed me that they are allowed to sell a presciption on drug in Australia, due to the EXTREMELY low content of "Melatonin" in it. Though the tone in the ladies voice gave me an insight into what she...

    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

Actually thinking about reporting Bioglan to the TGA, since this product is not registered with the TGA (I checked the online register and its not listed), since it claims it has Melatonin in it which is a prescription only medicine, it will be breaking the law if it has it in it, but if it...

    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

I'm still tossing up whether after I get the refund, if I should report them to the ACCC for stating that they do not issue refund on (most of) thier goods. Its even printed on thier receipts. Troy711, yeah but prescription only.

    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

So this is escalating quite quickly. I returned to the store with the unopened and still sealed bottle, and the receipt. They refuses to do a refund because their store policy is that there is "no refunds or exchange on orally consumed products", it is even on their receipts. I asked for an...

    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

Thanks mate, I'll give those a try. I did sleep better last night, only woke up once or twice. It probably has something to do with my shift work, boss put my on a Friday 6pm-4:30am shift, then Saturday 2pm-11pm, Sunday 12-9pm, Monday 7am-4pm. I think its just screwing with my sleep. Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

I'm not after something specifically, I walked into the Pharmacy asking for advice, and this is what she recommended. I trusted her as a pharmacist to provide some credible suggestions. Instead I got some very expensive water. I actually did the maths, a normal Circadin tablet is 2mg, to get...

    Things that p*** you off/bug you/annoy you

I'm pissed off right now because I went to the chemist to see if I could get something to help with sleep, I've been waking up a lot in the last few nights, no reasons. So one of the girls working behind the desk recommended this Melatonin tablets. Well on further research this Bioglan Melatonin...

!!!!How To Drain Some Transmission Oil Out If You Over Filled It Questions!!!!

Undoing a line and letting some drain out is one option. Otherwise you can undo the sump pan bolts and let some out. Or stick a hand pump hose down the filler tube and pump some out.

Glue advice for fixing roof lining.

Okay so I've finished it. I used the Selley Kwik Grip on the front, applied wet on just the cardboard and straight away put down, seemed to be the best method for me. And for the rear, I got a can of that Permatex stuff, I didn't like it thought, came out very stringy and was a mess. I...

    12v / 240v air compressor

I don't think you will have much luck finding a compressor that runs on 12VDC and 240VAC. Probably better off just buying 2 small compressors. EDIT: Than again...... 12V/240V Rechargeable Air Compressor
