Nah you don't need a tune - you just need to make sure you have fitted it properly - when you say "you have done everything" - what everything do you mean? Check your idle speed control and throttle position sensor. Mine had the opposite prob when I first put it on - it was idleing too low.

I love my V8 - I don't want to slag V6's but I just don't understand them. If you want an economical car but a 4cyl, if you want power you just have to forget about economy. I am paying off a house and I drive 400k's a week to work but since I have been without my V8 I hate every minute I spen...

Its an auto? I just had my 4L60E rebuilt in my VR, added corvette servos - made a huge difference as mine was slipping through the gears before also. Although part of the problem was the wiring from the throttle position sensor to the gearbox. Im not sure if you r having the same problem but...

Go the tonner! Being a student ur best bet would be one on gas, compare $1.25 for unleaded to 50c for gas. Im putting my VR on gas for that very reason!
