    Radiator Issue?

    Good idea to pressure test it.If you dont get onto it quickly and if its the cooler split in the radiator it could contaminate the auto oil and stuff the transmission.I'd be checking the auto oil condition daily.

    pressure build up coolant system

    You cant properly flush a cooling system with the thermostat still fitted.You will need to remove it.The closest thing you could do when flushing is remove a heater hose and flush it through that way and then drain the water in the system and replace with coolant.

    Be sure to bleed the cooling system properly,open up heater tap to hot and fill the cooling system and then run the engine till it reaches operating temp and also make sure the thermostat opens and the fans come on and re check level and refit cap.Be sure to use the correct specified pressure...

    Fuel pump.If your blowing fuses possibly one or both fuel pump and getting hot whislt running and creating a high resistance and blowing the fuse.

    VX Commodore, Possible Blown Head Gasket or just Condensation?! (HELP!)

    Common problems which exist,leaking inlet manifold gaskets or pouruss inlet manifold.When the inlet gaskets decide to let go they can leak coolant into the combustion chamber.Just something to consider.

    We had an ecotec VY berlina,some years ago came in with 40,000km on the clock and needed an engine as it ran out of oil it had done 17,000km since its service and the own didnt check the oil and was also late for servicing.Job cost about $2850 all up for a second hand engine,fitted.

    Service Reminder Reset?

    That refers to VT/VX,on the VY/VZ's you need to hold down the 2 top buttons turn the key to on and then a service light will come up to reset service light/oil light,then press and hold the set button and till it beeps then done.

    I did a trip from here (griffith) to adelaide roughly 800kmish,filled up here with premium shell fuel,2 passengers fully loaded up boot.Sat cruise on most of the way sitting just over the speed limit etc.Made it there on a tank of fuel.But mind you the roads are flat out here lol.

    I think by holden the service interval states that on a vz or ve the interval is 15,000km for each oil service.Which is way too long.Also if an engine has used synthetic oil never change back to a mineral or this could result and also burn oil.

    When i used to have my old VR stato efi 5L,it was lowered hsv cold air intake,advance timing,good fuel,twin system 2.5 dumped at diff.On the trip computer on long trips would get down as low as 7.4L per 100km.You could easilly get over 800km out of a tank of fuel.

    There are 2 ways you could go.Could go a 308/stroker option or go EFI V8 with a single turbo or twin turbo.As for a hill climb car that wont be registered i would get a VN to VS V6 as it would be your cheapest option.Then just rip out the entire driveline.Rebuild the borgy with 3.9's or 4.11s...
