well yeh it knocks pretty bad now lol. but not worried. in august or begging of September the engine and trans comes out and being rebuilt to a 383 supercharged with a T56 behind it:D

i thought id be different and do that but it doesnt matter soon anyways.

um im rebuilding it therefore saving it and if i didnt buy it it would have been wrecked by now it would not have lasted till this long

is it possible to put a level 3 dash from a v6 vn into my vn ss? or would it not work properly or do i have to modify some things? if so does anyone know what needs to be changed or wired differently? cheers.

well iv got a compressor and a over head valve spring compressor so do you think using a magnet would be the best and easiest way to remove those little retainer lock thingies you where talking about? you are talking about the little half circle things on it right? lol. would there be any other...

iv looked at some guides on the net but i cant seem to find much. i was wondering if anyone knew how to replace valve springs without removing the heads. iv read somewhere that you need an air compressor and put pressure in to the spark plug hole and so on. im just finding it a bit difficult...

yeh its 3 inch piping. and id hate to ruin your fantasies lol but theres no secret CAI or anything. i just need to get a v8 one and also extend my trans cooling line because its in the way of it but i will have one soon.:thumbsup:

well first of all i didnt have an airbox pipe and i figured id do something different. dont u like it? lol

replacing the lifters cos there ****ed but i will leave the lifters for now just gonna put in my new valve springs. you cant get better lifters hey? like even in a 355 or 383 stroker u would still use the standard ones?

also what about valve springs?? can i just remove my rocker cover and replace them and if so how do i get them out and put new ones in? is there any trick to it? do i need a spring compressor or something?

would it really wear it out that quickly on a stock motor?

could be an oil pressure problem? check the pickup that its not clogged or your oil pump.

im going to be replacing my lifters and valve springs and i was wondering if it was possible to take the lifters out through the heads so i only need to take off my rocker covers instead of the manifold?

i was just wondering how i would go about replacing my conrod bearings and main bearings. would it be possible just by removing the oil sump and doing it from underneath?

what if the engine is old and in need of a refresh? also will be supercharged soon.

iv changed the oil a few weeks ago since i put the engine back in with other oil that wasnt too good. im thinking i should replace the oil pickup soon. the oil pumps fine. i checked it. cheers for that.

i can hear my lifters ticking like a bitch but when idling i can hear like a really bad knocking noise and also when u rev it quickly. iv changed the oil recently to 30w 60 hpr 30. still knocks and oil light comes on after a about 15 minutes of driving at idle. anything to solve this or...

yeh the hpr30 runs alot better. the oil light doesnt come on. it only slightly flashes after a longer run. but im gonna replace the oil pressure sensor and it should do fine. also im in limp home mode at the moment because my memcal is stuffed but thatll be fixed next week.

at the moment i have 10w 40 oil in my vn ss. theres a slight problem. when its cold its fine after the engine is warm when u take your foot off the throttle the oil light comes on but it sort of flashes then when the engine gets hotter its on at idle. im guessing because the oil is too thin...
