Found the problem to the cruise control. There is two switches on the brake pedal. One for the brake lights and one for the cruise control as a sensor for when it is depressed. The brake lights do not affect the cruse control perfomance. The brake lights are not tied into the cruise control. I...

Replaced the indicator stalk today with no luck...Dam it! must mean its the actual modual...will check the wires in between the stalk and the modual then go for the modual. Bought the Max Ellery manual today as well for a bit more info. Did you replace the stalk yourself luckyphil ?

Hi all ! Have a prob with my series II VT. Cruise control comes on but im unable to set it... The light on the dash for cruise comes on when I turn it on to indicate that its on. But no light comes on when I try to set it..Any ides would be great.

As a mechanic i generaly blow the switches out with high presure air . This always fixes it for me. Its dust that gets caught in the switches. As you blow it swith the switch back and forth. Hope this helps.
