umm...it could very well be a good buy. My 05 VZ has done 50k in 3.5 yrs...approx. 14k per yr. So, 12k per year is not that far off :)

hmmm...am very happy with my current tyres as they are extremely quiet and smooth too. It's the bumps felt within the cabin thats keeping my family unhappy. Would you say, it's logical to look at changing the springs then? The other thing in your Calais' favour is the 1.5 sport/luxury...

hmmm...so they would distort running off the head unit at high volume but perform much better on mid-high volume with an amp?

Thanks mate. Currently, the door speakers don't like too much base (a.k.a. some songs on high volume 35+) as they distort, so hoping to put in this amp+subwoofer to take some of the load :)
