Thanks Trevor, I fixed the issue which turned out to be no pressure in the system but may still have an issue with the passenger side fan not kicking when it should - ill be getting my works mechanic to have a look at this issue, hopefully it's a simple electrical fix of some sort.

Just an update.. I replaced the filler neck tonight and it's now running normal, temp hit 102 degrees with no issues, waited until temp reached 108 degrees to make sure the fans kicked in and work correctly and only the drivers side fan kicked in, I suspect there may be an issue with this due...

So i took out one fan relay one at a time with the AC on and both work fine, perhaps it’s just programmed to have only the drivers side fan going unless it fails in which case the other starts, not 100% sure. Will change the sensor and the filler neck next week.

Correction - with the AC running the drivers side fan is working and not the other, so not sure what to make of that.

Does anyone know at what temp does the fans kick in? My local mechanic who did my thermostat said 90 degrees the fans should kick in and within forums people say 108 which is a big difference considering mine is boiling at 102.

Correct, I bleed the system with heater on full and no change unfortunately

Yeah mate both come on when AC is on. Will be replacing sensor Wednesday next week.

Thanks guys, found the 2 bolts and looks easy but i need to remove the center bolt on the tensioner to completely remove it which might be hard considering it snapped off leaving half the screw inside - hoping an easy out will do the trick :/

sorry for late reply. yeah i always wondered why you would get this brownish sludge and car would still run fine, and wouldn't think anything of it. but would you really know if it is a false sign? is there a way you would know for sure? losing coolant over time maybe?

wow just read your link to hydrolock, yeah you would be unlucky if that was to happen to you,major internal damage. i wouldn't have guest coolent would play such a large role over time in your engine. actually i dont think most people would, but i will be now thats for sure

hey guy i needed to replace the CAS and while i was removing the pulley with the removal tool i put on the wrong swival and now it is stuck!!!! where the big bolt goes. any ideas how to get it out. its really stuck!!! and yes should have noticed prior to doing this but **** happens unfortunitly...

yeah im heading the CAS way aswell mate.... just now it took me 20 minutes to kick it over, next time it does that ill pour cold water over the CAS and see if that fixes it

Yeah mate replaced filter, pump , spark plugs , leads , coil. and still stalls. i was thinking blocked fuel line coz car dies while i drive and coughs and splutters, sounds like lack of fuel. thats my guess as i have change everything fuel filter , pump etc
