So...just realised I bought flips without transponders in them. What a toss! So do I try and cut open my fixed blade heads to get transponder out or get more keys.

Ve2 sv6 newb and I can't seem to get a phone to connect Bluetooth and then stream iPod music. It keeps giving me error msg about not being able to stream. Is it me or can't you do this? Owners manual says you can have 5 phones so why not 1 phone and 1 iPod?

there are 3 or 4 bolts holding them on and you get to them from underneath the roof lining. I took mine of to paint, I took the interior trim out and when the lining hung down there was enough room to get to the bolts. just don't let the roof lining hang under its own weight or it might crease.

found the issue. a piece of the plastic trim built into the lock assembly had broken off and jammed up the works. fell out as soon as I took the lock assembly out!!!

just had to replace the handle on the drivers door on our vt. now for some reason it won't lock off the remote and when I use the key it locks but won't open and I need to remove the handle to get it open again. the lock actuator is working ok. do I need to line something up when I re assemble it??

as title suggests, anyone know if the cv joint on the tail shaft has to face a certain way? as you can see in the pic it has 2 grooves on one side & one on the other.

does anyone know if the air con system has a low pressure switch? i'm pretty sure ows is stuffed and needs re-gassing as it wasn't getting very cool. now it won't switch on at all. normally both engine fans come on when you switch it on, now they don't. i am hoping it has a low pressure switch...

thanks steve. ireckon you are right about the staining. it cleaned off pretty well while i was removing all the gasket goo. how/where would i plumb an oil catch can?

why would there be so much oil anyway? is it simply coming in through the pcv or from other more serious problems. the plenum is still clean which is why i leant towards the pcv.

nope, haven't got them... don't have the holes in the insulator either. mine's a 5/98 ecotec in case that means anything.

that's interesting. i don't have any of those on mine. i take it they are on the manifold to line up the plenum when you put it back on.

got the hubs in the mail. they looked EXACTLY the same as one i got from repco & paid $199 for!! took the repco one back and put both the ebay ones in ...job done.

wondering what peol\ple think about the quality of ebay bits. i need new front hubs on our vt s1 wgn & gmh want $273ea, repco want $196ea and i see on ebay you can get two for $140...

cool, thanks. i didn't think it could be to bad. i converted to manual a couple of years ago and that was where we split the shaft. $37 for a bearing from repco so will start from there.

was wondering if anyone has had to do this. our's is starting to make that good buggered bearing sound. do you need to use a press to get it off or is it a bit easier than that.

do you think the oil already in the spacer will damage it? like mdf when it get wet???

i noticed when i was taking the pics it is only happening on the drivers side which makes me think i didn't seal the pcv properly. i couln't get the pics to upload so i emailed them to you....

noticed whilst we were charging the aircon, that when i start it there is a spark going from number one lead over to the dipstick tube. there is no obvious damage to lead or plug, could the block not be earthed properly?? any ideas anyone...

have done the shite of a job....has made a big difference to the ride. although a bit more vibration seems to comes through the car. the new ones lifted the engine up about 20mm i reckon. all the old mounts had splits in them in various places.

has anyone had anything to do with putting one of those davies craig electric water pumps on a v6. are they worth the time, effort, cost??
