The 255 X series hsv's had bigger injectors and a better intake manifold. and like what has already been mentioned the standard exhaust manifold was ditched for small tri-y headers and higher flowing cats. The 300kw senator and gts however had a callaway enhanced engine with much more upgrades.

Genuine VE GTS wheels would have to be modified to suite pre-VE cars. but if you bought fake GTS wheels they would be fine for your car.

I have the same problem mate, haven't found a cheap solution. you have to buy genuine chrome strips from holden and that costs a shitload. autobarn sell chrome strips but its not the right size so:(
