    Falken FK452 vs Yokohama V103 ?

I quite like Bridgestone Potenza Adrenalin's (RE-001). haven't had any experience with yoko's or Falkens so cant really comment, but the Adrenalin's are bloody good tyre's... Prob not much help but thats my 2cents :-)

Holden copping a pasting in the V8s

You want decent V8 racing.. BrUtes.. The V8 Ute's are still proper cars, with proper engines, and they have much better, more raw racing. Thats my 2 cents.

LED tail lights made T/C and Cruise control die?

I have installed Stop/tail and indicator LED's in my VZ and its killed the T/c and Cruise con.... its quite strange though as it seems only to be the parkers doing it, if i start the car with no lights on all is fine, if i have my foot on the brake all is fine, if i turn on parkers or headlights...

Just got my VCM tune done at CHE

If you get an SS inductions cold air box, Mace manifold insulator, Pacemaker extractors and an exhaust (i definitely recomend CHE's redback system) you'll be looking at 225 rwhp. Thats what mine has (plus its a manual with 3.08 diff ratio's instead of the stupid factory 2.8) and thats the power...

    Vz sv6

Touch too low for me, i recon their almost low enough standard (well the Sv6 and SS anyway) But it looks ok.

    Haynes Vz workshop manual!

Yea just got it and had a flick through, its fairly good, but like you said, very generic. Good to have handy though.

    Haynes Vz workshop manual!

Finally Haynes have made a workshop manual for the VZ! Covers Alloytec 175 & 190, Gen III and 6.0L engines. Covers the 6 spd Aisin box (alloytec), T56 (V8's), 4 and 5 spd auto's. The manual covers VT all the way through to VZ. (so also includes the 5L V8 and Ecotec) Click this link to have a...

    WL 175KW alloytec diff gear

I swapped the standard 2.8:1 (or whatever stupid ratio it is) in my Sv6 to 3.08:1 lsd out of an SS.. bolted straight up, no modifying anything, you could also just do the guts of the diff but changing the whole thing is just so much easier. If you need help with how to drop the diff PM me, it's...

    SV6 or calais

I own an SV6... therefore the SV6 is better...:whistling to be honest you get a s**t load more in a calais, with the same engine same auto box (if ur into auto's ) almost as good suspension (i don't think you get Fe2??), but all the fun electronic goodies.. or you get a V8 with all...

Anyone on here have an interest in Aviation?

All i have to say on this matter... C-152, >4500' AGL, reduce power, raise nose briskly 'till stall, a touch before stall add full rudder, watch the funky sky/dirt/sky/dirt spinning dance  .. i had an instructor who was a junky for crazy 152 stalls, he would get me to get my-self into...

    Qantas

My bad your right, but they were not really civil flights, but still your right. I do agree that they are still one of the safest, i just worry when every week i hear a new story from one or more of my mates, telling of their frustration from hitting brick walls with maintenance issues...
  15. greggy85

    Qantas

The federal governemnt own 50% of Qantas... In my personal opinion, coming from the aviation industry and knowing many engineers at Qantas, they are becoming too complacent, they are stretching their maintenance too thin, pushing engineers to cut corners, although they are still doing...

Anyone on here have an interest in Aviation?

oh i also agree with the Flight sim bit, i used to use it to 'couch fly', the ground features in MS flight sim almost match identically to VTC/VNC/WAC. Dislike the cockpit visibility though, the aircraft tend to trim out level rather than slightly nose down so u cant really see all that well...

Anyone on here have an interest in Aviation?

Ahh 744driver how i envy you, i'm just finishing off my CPL, gotta do CASA air-law test soon *shudders* only subject i dislike! You wouldn't happen to know of any jobs going.. anywhere.. for a fresh pilot would ya? Looking into Twin endorsement & C-IR after i'm done.. more money by the bucket...

    2004 vz petrol useage

From what i've heard (and i have no actual experience with tonners so feel free to correct) the tonners and Adventura's are more efficient with the gen III, for whatever reason the Alloytec just drinks like an Irishman on St Patrics day in those, i'm assuming its the extra weight. Although i...

    Alloytec Throttle body

Just got thinking about the Alloytec 190 throttle body. Has anyone found any larger aftermarket throttle bodies? Cant imagine there common or cheap if they do exist but i'm curious all the same. (and yes i know that is you were to enlarge the throttle body u'd have to scrap the intake manifold...

    spark plugs

If ur gonna have to spent $100 on the gasket, why not get the MACE cold air insulator for $150? I put it on, makes a little bit of difference but the manifold stays cool, real cool, except in Sydney peek-hour traffic (god how i love sitting for 2 hours in traffic that doesn't move, burning...

    Conclusive answers about VZ clusters

I just had a crazy idea.. Would it be possible to change the order the information displays on the 3 screen dash's.. what i mean is have it so that when the speedo in the middle screen, average fuel consumption is in left and range in right instead of the standard arrangement with speedo in...

    Price of Petrol

in my opinion, fuel excise/tax should be a set dollar amount, not a percentage, it should be increased with inflation and nothing more.. why is it that 60% of what we pay is taxes.. so the price goes up a little per barrel and the pump price explodes, so at $1.50 per liter the fuel company makes...

    VZ Sv6 Clutch Upgrade

As all us 6spd Sv6 owners know once the Alloytec produces 1nm more torque than factory the stock clutch is all but useless. Since i am in a situation that i'm sure many other's are in i decided to get some idea's off the guys who have "been there, done that, got the post card". The two options...

    My VZ Sv6

Yea as i can be bothered, and as cashflow allows.. not in a super hurry, but thats what i always say right before i get frustrated and start throwin money and time at it..

    Castlehill exhaust

Amen to that, i'm in the same boat with the flywheel, about the same time frame too! What i'd do is get the tune etc. then order the clutch, that way you should get it just before the stock one gives up.. hopefully..

Troys old 2005 VZ S Ute. Calais front, SS sides

Neat, tidy, simple.. I like it! Can't wait to change my headlights :) You gotta be happy with that ute. Curious question, how much did the SS headlights set you back, i haven't been game enough to ask holden fearing my wallet might run away

    My VZ Sv6

Yea the photo's are a tad hard to see.. i wanna get some fresh ones this weekend, don't know why my new ones won't upload to the computer grrr..:bang: I'll give the exhaust a go this weekend, i think the x-force probably sounds a touch better but i'm told its just that little bit too big for...

    My VZ Sv6

It's nothing special but i enjoy my Sv6, best investment I've made :yeah: It started life (well from when i bought it) as a standard impulse blue Sv6 with 6spd manual box, Phreddy blue dash ... and a tow bar.. So far she's received the following; - SS-inductions cold air intake - Strut...

Sv6er, Fuel economy is slightly better, wouldn't say it amazing, but definitely better. Impulsev6, i see where your coming from, i'll post times once i get a chance to get back down to eastern creek :-) would like to pop on the raptor but... well maybe later :-) All i can say is its 10 times...

    Castlehill exhaust

I just recently got Extractors/hi-flow cats/2.5" system done through CHE, also got the tune and I can honestly say its a completely different motor. For starters they do only a single 2.5" system as they have perfected this (apparently exhaust note much better than twin and the system works alot...

    Mad ass crackly backfire

I got pcemakers, highflow cats and single 2.5 inch system, she's got the crackle when revs are over 2000 and you take your foot off goin down hill, she gets it big time if your in the red when you take your foot off! Probably not quite as good as the twin 2.5 though, off topic NAF33N i have to...

    Tyre advice

IMHO dont buy Nangbangers (nankangs) u'll end up in a tree.. i know ppl who work for their distributor and i have tried a few different models that we picked up for next to nothing.. all i can say is there is a reason u get them so cheap... they are burnout tyres, nothing more. Meanwhile i have...
