Not sure about a 2013 but our MY15 sv6 have the steering wheel controls illuminated! Even when you turn the lights off and the DRLs come on they are still illuminated....

Must be another slow day! If you can get a USB 3.0 memory stick for around the same price as a USB 2 I would chose the 3 every time even though it will run at 2 speed (or whatever the device can run at)! You will find that the chips etc are of better quality to be able to handle faster...

To be honest I don't even know why you guys are even having a discussion about whether the car should warn the driver to put fuel in it or not! In my job, I deal with morons who run out of fuel! In some situations it puts my well being at risk just to help them! You know what the majority...

Fingers crossed the MY16s get Android Auto and they then upgrade the series one units! Not sure if it uses different hardware but from what I have read it appears to be an app! Means you can use google maps from your phone onto the cars screen....

When I get around to doing mine I am just going to keep the originals! A dealer once told me that if you mod anything just put the original stuff back on if something was to go wrong! I guess this is ok as long as they don't log what you have done!

As long as the cars are painted in different locations you will never get the exact match unless they take batch A and paint the car and the place that paints the bumpers etc gets that same batch A! Paint batch A will be way different to batch Z for example as they can never tint it exactly...

I had a look at mine this morning and it is the same! I wouldn't have noticed it only that you mentioned it here! Doesn't bother me as you only see it when the door is fully open and you are looking for it.... well at the moment anyways! If it bugs me later on I will spray it....

As previously mentioned can you post some pics of the issue? Depending where it is I would probably just spray it myself.... not on an outside panel though!

I would be going further up the food chain than the dealer if I was you! We also have another holden and the dealer tried ripping us off with a part, one message to holden themselves and that was quickly resolved! Got the part at cost in the end..... What colour is your vf? Mine is a my15...

Same with the bumpers and skirts being a different shade of colour to the car! You get that when they are painted in different factories using different paint batches....

Hi there, I would love to grab them from you but it is more than a 4 hour round trip for me! Are they the flat plate flange type or the round type as per redlines? I can get a complete redline afm exhaust for $100 down the road but I don't really want to change it over just incase I need...

Is it the Y type tips I should be looking at getting to put on an sv6 or are the non afm/manual like that as well? I have seen both twin tip and Y tip so getting confused!

I haven't had a chance to install the grille surrounds! A question for those who have removed the front bumper from a VF..... the instructions I have say that there are 6 screws in the wheel arch however on quick inspection they look like scrivets! Can someone please let me know either way...

Do the mufflers just bolt onto the sv6 exhaust system or do you have to use the ss pipes as well? Is your sv6 manual or auto and what did the mufflers come off if it makes a difference?

Yeah not that sold after seeing it! The bottom grille surround would have to be the same colour as the car...... I actually did a similar thing by editing a pic of my car... That's why I just went with black! Not sure if it was my eyes or my brain thinking that the wheels look smaller now...

I think you will find that the storm is what they are building at the moment anyways! I think the price is close to the standard sv6 anyways.... You will want to act soon though as they will be making the my16 soon if they aren't already!

Not sure about the led light bar however I do have a copy of the bumper/grille removal instructions! It appears pretty straight forward though... Police cars here in vic have a small red and blue led bar above the number plate afai can remember. Might only be on Evokes though not sure...

Not sure if a full alloy will fit under your ute but if you are in Melbourne you can pick a brand new (pull off new vehicle without tyre) for $125! I put one in our my15 sv6 sedan (second hand) as it only had a steel wheel and one of the wheels had slight damage, so that is now the spare....

Hi All, I have a nitrate sv6 and like many I am not a fan of chrome! I can get hold of some removed chrome vents and grille surrounds for under $100 to save stuffing up the ones on the car! The vents I would spray black however I am interested in the thoughts on actually spraying the grille...

Thanks Frandy! Picked up some new grilles (just in case I stuffed it up) and just cut all of the fins/bars out of them, bogged up all of the holes that were left and sprayed them to match the car! Oh and a hell of a lot of time and patience......

Finally finished both grilles! I think they both came up ok....

No probs! But it was juzo who gave me the info when I did the same thing, so thanks need to go to him.... cheers Scott

Here is what I am up to so far with modifying the grille on my VY! Next step is to add black mesh, get a new holden badge and finish the bottom grille.... I also painted the bits under the lights to colour code with car (fog light bit) Sorry for the crap pics!

klaw81 how did you attatch the mesh? I am in the process of modifying an exec grille, a bit different to the way you have done it! Will post pics when done! cheers, Scott
