Fixed! Replaced the gasket, couldn't do the egr pipe or pcv valve but all fixed. Runs on petrol perfect now and vacuum leak has gone. Cheers for the help everyone

hold on, the mrs has said its been stalling on her and I put it down to the gas convertor freezing up as it needed a bit of coolant. (valley cover lol) but just checked error codes again and its thrown a code 47, so could it be the cas is on its way out? but then it would be **** on gas too though?

Update: new leads went in tonight and now it's running on 5 on petrol but mint still on gas.. Yeah new gasket for egr valve, purge hose is still on, swapped and cleaned iac with my other vt while troubleshooting that car too. Checked if injectors were leaking. Valley cover kit just arrived so...

Dfi and coil packs, iac, maf sensor are good as I've put them in my other car for trouble shooting, also fuel pump is brand new too also done the filter and leads are probably due to be changed so will do them after the valley cover gaskets have been done. Could even be dodgy tps I guess.

Plugs I did about 6 weeks ago, think the guy at sprints said 1.3 mm but I'll double check that gap and im running the colder plugs also. Seems like it might have been that egr valve hissing pretty much all gone now. It still runs fine on gas and idles better now but a tad rough on petrol...

Just put the spare egr valve in and it's idling a lot better, still a tiny bit rough. Can still hear a leak though. has to be the egr I'm pretty sure the revs picked up after spraying **** down it.

Got a spare egr valve so I'll try that, will also get a pcv too. Bloody thing blew a hole in the airbox again today lol 4th one in 5 years hahaha

Fuel isn't that old, topped up regularly as it uses fuel to start then switch to gas. Plugs and leads are new, dfi and coil pack are fine. Running rough due to the vacuum leak.

yeah looks fixed now. brake lights have been on for at least 5 minutes and no fuse pop. did end up being a left hand bulb holder,stopped popping the fuse after I disconnected it. should be able to drive it tomorrow and pick up a new holder/loom bit on the way home. Cheers

I thought that after I posted lol. I've dug up my multimeter to try and find the fault in the wire. Also going to disconnect the bulb holders off the loom and see if that works. cheers for all the help fellas

Nah car is stock as a rock. Tried using new globes and also tried with no globes in at all and still have the issue. I'm hopefully picking up another brake switch tonight and seeing how it goes.
