Update: Put a VR ecu in with my old memcal, didnt do anything... Nah havent checked codes.. I thought it showed the Check engine light when there was a code?

Ok update tried a few more things today took leads off coil pairs: all coils spark easily between the two. Checked fuel pump wiring: Has power up to at least the back seat Fuel pump wiring stays powered for up to 30 seconds after key turned OFF: possible dodgy oil pressure sender...

Engine light is off I havent tired doing that but i took the leads off and sparked the plugs against the intake manifold

Gas wiring you say, which part? That sucks as I have no idea how that works =/

Not sure if fuel pump is working but the gas definately is and its still not starting So im assuming that the main problem does not lie with the fuel pump The CAS is the one down near the harmonic balancer right? How does one go about checking it?

Sounds like either: your/his speedo is wrong, tacho is wrong OR someone put diff gears and a speedo correcter in yours before u bought it. Sounds more like his tacho/speedo is wrong coz im pretty sure they dont rev at 1500 at 100 normally? at least not in a v6

I tried a different (non hissing) control unit and mine still hissed. I didnt remove the hoses only that rubbery thing that they all connect into and it only goes on one way
