you really only gain a few kw by changing your filter. i have a pod set up in the stock air box with the 2 hole mod, works really well and is a cheap option :) don't have to worry bout cleaning it and if its enclosed properly you really don't hear it sucking that much.

it should be fine just check trans, power steering fluids, oil, coolant and top up wats needed. take the trip easy and keep checking ya temp gauge. maybe stop off for a half hour every few hours to keep the temp down and most importantly give u a rest. in my opinion lows are a waist of money and time, ultra lows are a bit of an over kill and cop bait. I have super lows and love the look feel and ride. rarely scraps going through spoon drains and never on speed humps. To get your value for money go for super lows all round. hope this helps.

my opinion is keep tinting it a lil bit darker and then gloss it up with some clear coat. Will look really nice all glossed up, will suit the lights and will be unlike anything else going around, well done looks like you've done a good job.

hey been searching through the forums trying to find one in specific. I remember reading a while back that there is a belt you can get that makes a whine noise like a supercharger for a N/A ecotec but have failed to find out what they are called or how much they are. Can anyone help at all?

um the usual, diff, tail shaft, trans, ecu, new wiring lume, relocating things in engine bay as the v8 bay is a bit different, new engine mounts, exhuast system, alot of things have to be chnaged. keep ya eye out on ebay for a conversion kit from a wrecked vt or vx

cheap option is get the head shaved, gives higher compression = more torque down low

the actuator by the boot garnish was jammed, so i riggled it a bit, adjusted the rod in the boot then shut it. then i tried to open the boot and it tried to pop but didn't so i adjusted the latch using a socket drive and pushed the lil loop thing down 4mm and she works fine now.

If it is a 1998 vt it will not change gears when left in first or second, this only came in on the series 2 and vx as a fail safe for dumb arse's. Yor should get bit over 80km/h in first, bout 130 in second and third will wind out to 225km/h trust me ;), the trans won't let you do 220 + in...
