    Cosmic Grey paint code.

Hi all, I'm after a paint code for my 2018 Zb Calais V. It's called Cosmic Grey. I'm looking for some touch up paint. Any help would be greatly appreciated as I can't find it anywhere around the car id plates. Cheers.

    Reverse Camera Guide Lines

Hi guys, Just purchased a 2013 VF MY 14 Evoke Sportwagon, July 2013 build. There are no guidelines on the reverse screen. I contacted a Holden (GM) dealership to get a software update and the service manager told me it is not guaranteed the lines will be there after the update and it would cost...

    Starting problem

Hi all. I drive a VZ 6cyl auto. This morning I hoped into the car and it just wouldn't start. It was ticking over, coughing & splattering and then after around 5 goes it started with a bit of acceleration. It blew heaps of light blue smoke for around 3 seconds then all was fine. Started no...

Problem fixed. I replaced the switch assembly and the problem was still there. Took the car to Holden and had the resistor replaced. All's good after a few hungie bucks :)

    Door Seal

Hi guys, Just need help as to how to put the door seal back on. I've taken the passenger side door seal ½ off around the front and top and it just doesn't go back on flush. Is there a secret to putting it back on properly? I'm lost :hmmm:

    Air Con Isuue

Guys, before I start, do the 3 dials come off easily?
  11. tigerpm7

    Air Con Isuue

Man it's not an easy task getting the radio out. Gotta get thick wire but is there a trick to getting it right?
  12. tigerpm7

    Air Con Isuue

Will do. I thought it would be a bit weak. I will give it a shot next week and I'll let you know how it goes. I will always try something once and seems easy enough. Do the dials just pull off and would I take them off before the centre trim assembly or after?
  13. tigerpm7

    Air Con Isuue

You know what, I will give it a go. I noticed on the manual it shows the model with climate control. Mine is an exec with the 3 dials. Is it exactly the same to remove? Would coat hanger wire be good enough or should I get thicker?

    Air Con Isuue

Thanks again PaulSV6 but mate you must be joking it's piss easy. You practically got to tear out the whole centre console and the radio assembly which you need the special tool that I don't have and then rip out the centre trim assembly which even with the great info you've provided I'd end up...

    Air Con Isuue

Thanks PaulSV6, I checked out the relay and it's fine. HoldenVTman seem to be right....it's buggard and loose wire means pulling the whole blimpkin dash apart just to get behind the dial to check. Job for my Holden dealer by the looks of things and big $$$$ to be spent. Just wanted to know if...

    Air Con Isuue

Hi all, My Air con seems to have died. When I turn the dial to 1, 2, 3 or 4 it just doen't come on. I need to give the dial a strong tap in the centre of it to get it to work. Sometimes quite a few taps. It only will work on 1 or 4, not 2 or 3 which is weird. Could this be a simple loose...

    VZ Service Vehicle Soon warning

Ok. Sorry if i've confused anyone. I had the 60,000k service reminder coming up as soon as the car hit 59,000k's. I checked out this site on how to remove it because I had the car serviced not long ago and this worked so I thought i'd post it here. I didn't know it wouldn't work for the svs...

    Tyres for 06 VZ

PaulSV6: Turanzas are on the VE if i'm not wrong and I find them a little noisy. vcstarfirequeen: Very funny :-) andyman: Nankang looks good and drives ok but i've had them in the past and didn't get good mileage out of them. They are cheap for a reason.....you get what you pay for. VZ...

    Tyres for 06 VZ

Hi all, I'm driving an 06 VZ exec, standard and I am up for a set of tyres. What have you tried and what would you recommend? Nothing special, just the standard 205/65/15 tyre. (I think) Thanks. :driving:

    Powertrain error

Interesting because the exact same thing happened to me last week. When I turned the car off and re-started it was fine so I thought nothing of it. Maybe I should get it checked out but if it doesn't do it again I guess it's not a problem and the dealer wont bother replacing anything.

    Driving a VE

Spot on Darren. CSP must have 3 side mirrors and the bubble type to cover all angles. I have the same diagram as well. Anyway this thread isn't a blind spot lesson, it's about the VE so can we stay on track please. Everyone has had their say in the matter.

    Driving a VE

lol  You must really love the car to bits buddy. We are just putting forward our views on the car. Everyone is different, right. To tell someone to use the exterior mirrors to check a blind spot is just crazy . I'd love to know how many cars you've swipped or at least got close...

    Driving a VE

Thanks guys for all the replys. The response to this thread has been overwhelming. I'm not trying to bag the VE. The options you get in the standard Omega are gr8. I'm just pointing out some facts I found. Surely there are teething problems in all new model cars and i'm also sure Holden...

    Dealership/Warranty Issue

Hi Andyman. I don't mind you asking. Most were simple screws or rivets in doors but the main ones we're: Air con fan was faulty and replaced. Glove box rattle and out of allignment so it was replaced. Front knocking when gooing over speed humps or turning into a driveway, problem with hub...

    Driving a VE

For me I found the door handles got in the way when i checked the side mirrors to see what's behind me. Didn't obstruct the mirrors. I'm glad you're happy with your purchase, gr8 news. Of course when a car is brand new it will be or at least should be perfect. Beware of what might happen in...

    Driving a VE

Not venting anger mate. Just making prospecting buyers aware of the facts and to wait maybe a year or 2 before rushing out for an 06-08 VE. As I wrote I love the Commodore and wouldn't drive any other car

    Driving a VE

Hi. I took my VZ in for service yesterday and was given a VE courtesy car. 44,000k's on the clock, serviced regulary of course but it was a nightmare. The road noise was just shocking, mind you it has Bridgestone silica tyres whice are one of the quietest around. It's so full of plastic and...

Hi all. Firstly thanks to everyone who replied. You've been a gr8 help. Secondly I took my car to a Holden Dealer yesterday to have the 60,000k service done and I had my list of 14 items I wanted checked under warranty. I took the car in at 7:30am and got it back at 5pm. Service done and...

    Tow Bar

Andyman, I wasn't told the exact difference and I didn't ask either. When I was asked if it's a VZ or VY I said makes no difference they're the same and the guy at the workshop said ther're not the same and one doesn't fit the other. Could be brand specific, not sure. As for you Seannatt I...

    Tow Bar

As far as i'm told they dont fit. I just had mine done: 1600kg for $255- Fitted, ball, all elecs and plug in the boot. Not a Hayman Reece which would've costed me more for a 1250kg. It's a Boronia tow bar with a lifetime warranty. Hope this helps. Shop around cos the price difference is...

    Dealership/Warranty Issue

The outcome is crap. I've even spoken to some top nob at Holden and been told the same thing. A lose nut or bolt or anything for that matter that needs tightening after 3000k's is at the owners cost. BUT in the service manual these things are part of the service so when the next service is...
