That's a big question. Turbo's are much more efficent than a supercharger, plus the super 6 models (besides the VS) are big and heavy so their power to weight ratio isnt as good. Nothing wrong with a super 6 either, just personal choice. Cheers

The VR is back baby! Got the trans rebuilt with 4L65E heavy duty parts, and its running sweet. Feels so much firmer and responsive. The old 3-4 cluthes were totally burnt out. Cheers

With gtech installed I was doing 0-100 km in 5.1 or 5.2 with my old turbo setup on the VR V6 with wheel spin.

Time for an update: The roller rocker problem has been sorterd. I sourced some longer pushrods and raised up the rocker pedistals, so now everything clears just nicely. PCV has been blockled off, and catch can and fittings have been installed. Transmission has now lost 3rd & 4th gear...

I have '94 VR which has a 5HDD transmission, I think its a series 2 but cannot be certain. Can this be identified by the VIN??

The catch can has arrived so that will be going on shortly, just need to tap some fittings in the rocker covers. Still working on roller rocker and PCV. Diff change is next on the list.

Well there is good news and there is bad news. The bad news is the PCV valve kacked itself, on the dyno. It pressurzied the cracnk case and spat out the dipstick then covered the engine in oil. At least there was no fire. Due to the PCV valve we couldn't get any more than 8 psi boost and...

After being on holidays for a while, I've finally got the VR booked for a tune up at the end of the month. Over 550km on the clock, so not long to go. Cheers

Matt_vp, here is a photo of the cross over pipe. Its a simple setup, but works quite well. Fits nicely with the 3" stainless dump pipe. Cheers

I'm running a [email protected] cam with 1.8:1 roller rockers and has .540" valve lift. But does require heavy duty valve springs. This is in a VR V6.

Over 400km on the clock now, got through to Awesome Auto and should have it booked in for just after easter. Its getting close now :)
