Is there a difference between power steering pumps and the high pressure hose fitted to the WH statesman with variable power steering and the standard steering in VT/VX LS1 series? I know the rack is different with the solenoid valve but not sure on the hose and pump. Thanks.

It is 13 in the above drawing. Just need a wiring diagram etc as the LS1 is going into a VT series 1 that was V6 and need to know what the plug is for. Hope this photo helps

Anyone have a wiring diagram/pin out for the 4 pin plug in the photos? It is on the LS1 loom located near the brake booster and I'm led to believe its got something to do with the throttle relaxer. Cheers

Hi, Just bought another VY off a friend. It hasn't had a head unit in it for 10 years, so I put the stock head unit in if from my other VY. Works perfectly except for the steering wheel controls. None of them work at all. Any ideas?

hmm i might also add that my bcm is almost crapped out. It playes silly buggers eg thermo fans come on on cold start up and immobiliser light flases like crazy sometimes. This have anything to do with it?

Hi, has anyone had any experience with rim protectors eg rimskins, rimblades, alloygator? It seems like they are just a nylon strip that fit in between the lip of the rim and the sidewall of the tyre. Any good?

thanks for the help guys. Battery had a crack in the bottom and the acid had eaten through the battery tray O_o Got another battery under warranty and hitting up the supplier for a new battery tray too. I have washed down with the hose. Do you think should wash again with bi carb mix?

hey guys, put a new battery in my vt v6 in january and now there is big white powdery corrosion under the battery. You can also see where it has been liquid at some stage and dripped down onto the swaybar/k frame. Any idea why this would be happening?

perfectly normal for the ecotec. It will happen more when hot. It's the starter motor. When it gets hot it just turns over slower. Ive got extractors so it makes it even worse - but no problems

Yep fuel sender unit. It is on the side of the fuel pump assy in the tank. It will fix it

Ok the axle is out. Mounted the wheel on backwards and kicked it out from underneath the car. worked a treat. How do you get the outer bearing race out of the diff axle?

so when the axle comes out, then do you need to press the bearing out?

Hey guys, In my VP at 80km on the speedo, it keeps making a high pitch squeal noise somewhere behind the dash. I don't know where exactly, but it will only happen when the needle sits on 80. Any ideas?

pulled aprt the dash an couldnt find anything.. Now getting a constant hiss from behind the instrument cluster, and whistle when braking sometimes. Any ideas?

Just having a look at it now. I wonder if it could be coming from one of the actuators behind the glove box? How would you test them for leaks?

Oh really? Yeah cos mine even does it with recycled air selected and the fan control off. Mainly at above 80kph though....

Hey guys, Been having this recurring problem with my VP Berlina. The interior fan will always be on, even when switched off. There will also be a whistle behind the glovebox area at the same time - when travelling at about 60kph or more. It is really annoying, so any help will be appreciated.
