To those who want to see a really good flappy paddle box watch this weeks Top Gear with the Ferrari 458. That thing looks magic to drive. As suggested the Holden auto's are not the correct type nor do they have the shift speed to merit having the paddles.

Well I have done 68k in under 2 years but I know that put a spanner in the works when it comes to the 15k service period as mine has been in 5 times for service rather than the time scheduled 2. Glad the VE's don't have 10k service periods!

The skidplate looks like possibly the easiest way to get to them. I had a look at jacking the front of the car up and unscrewing the skidplate and hoping there is room I can get a hand in to take the globes out.

Holdfast, this may seem like an obvious answer but put the seatbelt on? That's the general way to disable the alarm. I have read something somewhere that you can disconnect the sensor in the seatbelt clip, not sure where it is though.

I saw the changes in the badge location at the Melbourne Motor show, it looks strange on the Sedans that the badges are higher rather than the bottom of the boot lid. And the SSV badge looks much better than the red V that came from the Cadillac spare parts bin.
