    VE Omega Police Modes

Nathg , I was told years ago & recently by a friend at Police Workshops W.Park NSW they don't bother modifying them as they don't keep them long enough and don't wish to void warranty's anyway. There all bog standard. I just need to get into the advanced settings and see what there set on .

    throttle body cleaning

Throttle Body clean . Get your Holden Dealer to do it as the VE throttle bodies are electrically operated and as such you can't hold them open manually and clean on car as you do with previous models, namely the old 3.8 clunker. They will clean properly out of car on bench and refit with new...

    VE SV6 "clunk"

Dear Caity o5 , I had a similar noise coming from under my 06 Omega 9C1 . Very noticeable on certain terrain and intermittent. Holden Dealer mechanic said first batch VE's had problems with no insulators above front coils. Fitted insulators under warranty, noise now gone for good. Have this...

    Bluetooth Handsfree in the VE

Yeah I'm thinking of doing same for my VE Omega . Dealer said they will install for $450-$500 as well . I think they remove the radio CD unit and install a Bluetooth Interface at the rear of it I think ?? As you said the mic & steering wheel button are already in place. I hope it's worth it too...

Side console panel keeps coming off?

My 2006 VE Omega Ex-Cop car was like that . Both sides were loose as the Police Workshops pull them out when fitting their gear and when the vehicles have done their 12 Months with the cops , they strip out all their crap and chuck the panels back in any old way and send the car to auction. I...

VE Omega Tranny Grabbing in 2nd Gear

VE Electrics My 4L60E Tranny has been grabbing in 2nd gear for quite a while and making an unusual loud single clicking noise after starting the vehicle in PARK with handbrake on as you do normally. I can't help but think both these things are somehow related to the same fault whatever that...

VE Omega Tranny Grabbing in 2nd Gear

Ok Thanks Senku , I'm hoping your wrong about Tranny on it's way out. It's still under warranty though till Nov this year. I'm going to get the dealer to check all the Electrics connected with Tranny operation & Tech 2 ?? for possible faults if they show. I don't know whether these Trannys have...

Rear Left Tyre worn evenly to 40% while others are 80% with only 20000 km on the care

Had a similar problem with my 06' Omega. Holden has to reprogram your computer to solve VE Battery drain Problem. It's a common problem with VE's when they first came out. Mines been ok since they did it. As for tyre wear on rear tyres , especially nearside rear. Another VE problem .... Holden...

VE Omega Tranny Grabbing in 2nd Gear

I have a 2006 VE Omega V6 4-Speed Auto 9C1 Ex-Cop Car. Trans Grabs when sliding into 2nd from 1st when taking off. More noticeable when Engine & Trans are cold. Not as bad or noticeable when both have warmed up. Also when I start up in PARK as per normal , the trans makes a light clicking noise...

    Water in Boot

Thanks cool VR for feedback , but i think it's coming from somewhere else as i don't have a spoiler attached. I'm thinking maybe garnish between tail lights or tail lights themselves. Having looked at other threads last nite I'm really hoping it's not the rear Quarter windows as others have...
