I changed the cluster with a second hander from the wreckers. It now runs 2 bars on the temp gauge in the traffic, fan kicks in under half, runs at 1 quarter on the gauge on the highway. Seems to be a temp gauge problem that wasn't fixed

He tested the temp gauge while in the cluster, connected some wire to it and said it was reading correct. I asked about the wiring and plug in the dash behind the cluster but he said he doesn't need to check that it's ok?

The instrument guy stands by that the gauge is 100% accurate, which he can prove if need be.

How do you know which way the eprom chip faces in the correct position on the memcal board?

Is it necessary to disconnect the negative and positive of the battery, before getting to the ECU?

I only have the one filler bottle on my vn 1990, flushed coolant filled filler bottle to fullest now the coolant sits slightly above half way of the filler bottle, Is that normal?

Hello, I have a vn series 1, have only had it for a few days. I flushed out the coolant, and would like to know after filling back up, what is the level of the coolant it should be sitting in the filler bottle that is normal level? I like to know this so to see if the car is using coolant.
