From what I know the fuel gauge voltages are reversed between series 1 and series 2. I think the plugs might be slightly different as well. it may be possible to convert to series 1, but I don't know off hand. I suggest searching the forums for more info.

Thats normal. Its a fuel efficiancy measure. My Vy ecotec does it as well. Will only work when there is no acceleration at all.
