how would you go mounting the 1jz engine?

has any one seen those molded sub boxes suitable for the vy boot. they mold around the tail light and wheel arch area. i last saw them on ebay. any ideas?

nah he gets it direct from air ride. proper stuff not that cheap ****... then again im looking at adding an extra compressor and other stuff which comes to about 5500$.. its a big out lay but its fricken sick edit: my quote was also front, back, side, side but not auto hight adjustment

is there any one to reset the computer in a vy so that the SRS symbol turns off. i made the mistake of removing the front passanger seat and now im left with an annoying "BEEEEPPP" every time i start the car.. cheers, Will

hey Junny, what colour is your ute? I've managed to find a place in geelong that is doing air bag kits... he's actually a mate of mine. he is a panel beater but is starting to do more and more customer work.. he's done a couple of bag kits now. think its about 4k

Hey guys, looking for a spare engine for my ecotec vy comodore to rebuild. what other models house the same engine as a vy and would be a direct swap... not sure if vn, vp's used different sensors in things like that. cheers, eclipz

im from the geelong area. what sort of system did you get quoted on for $5k.. i'd assume that most of that would be labour... the last kit i looked at was $3499.. which was a f/b/s/s (front/back/side/side) system

i know there is some form of adjustment in the rear already but i know you can buy a camber kit to further improve the back wheels... was quoted $145 from repco...any one in Geelong who can fit these without paying ridiculous amount of money? either that or ill take it to my mechanic

yeah tow bar to go fairly soon... personaly i have no need for it but it may come in handy every now and then.

just picked up my rims the other day. this is what they look like. Soon to come: Ultra Low king springs, Nolathane camber kit shortened struts Went into Repco today and was quoted $175 for a full set of ultra lows... this sounds to cheap??

Can any one tell me the size and depth for the front speakers in a VY commodore. i was planning to take them out today but cant find my window winder removal tool thingo...

im actually quite impressed with the stock speakers/sound system in the VY.. ill only replace my speakers once there stuffed.

got all the parts except for the loom and brake switch. I went to a wrecking yard today to look for a loom, it looks like you need to replace the whole loom on the drivers side that goes into the engine bay and into the fuse box? is this correct or is there any easier way?

no i didnt take the battery out :( just unplugged it. a mate of mine was charged $150 just to get a reset for his engine light :(

i removed my passanger seat so i could mount an amp... i have put the seat back in and now im left with an error message saying "SRS AIRBAG FAULT" can this be fixed easily or do i need to go to holden and have them rip me off???

ey guys, i have tried removing my head unit from my vy but im not having any luck. some one suggested instead of wasting my money on the cd player removal tools i could make them out of a coat hanger but im not having any luck with that either... any suggestions?

ey mate, thanks heaps for that. if you could do a "how to" that would be tops... i have installed all my own sound systems in previous cars so wiring up this should be a breeze
