My VS has the same noise, and was the problem that someone else mentioned earlier. It is the grommit between the firewall. Easy fixed in 5 minutes! I doubt its the pump, if its like a whiiirrr whiiirrr when you turn from left to right i reckon its the grommit.

My Decemeber 1995 VS Exec has just clocked over 93,000 k's. Bought it a year and a half ago at 70,000k's. Only probs have been alternator & Mass Air Flow Sensor. Still runs like a dream! ( which it should at 93,000ks! )

Hi mate, I have a VS V6, not duel fuel though. Has done only 89,000k's so still a young one! lol. Has always had a slight miss on idle every 3 sec's or so. Im wondering if its just a common problem with the ecotecs.

Had the same problem about a year ago with my VS Series 1, Had only done 70,000k's though. Same symptoms, car stopped. Also have a mate who has a VT Series 1 and also had the same problem.. Holden obviously didnt sort the problem out before the VT was released.
