Hey there, I did my barrel today with a locksmith all went ok, but noticed now after reconnecting the ignition wiring plug ( at the cack of the ignition barrel)that i now need to press unlock before starting the car. even when the car is unlocked.

use a 90mm hole saw ( used on down lights etc ) and you can drill a very nice and precise hole right next to existing 90mm hole

+2 for above the stupid apprentices havent fixed it ask for a senior technician to look at it. coud also be the contacts in globe holder needs to be pushed out a lil to grip globe tighter

go to holden pending what they going to slug you $$$$, but my mechanic informed my car going to Holden due to diagnostic programming blahh blahh blahh wasnt simple plug and play and after market diagnostics can only set it up so much.Holden wanted 1200 for the ecm and i got it for 800 straight...

why not fit a VE brakelight thats mounted at the top of the rear window?even if you retain the rear spoiler.

hi mate, prepared to spend a grand i just did on a new ECM as i got same problem, both Holden and Amcap had plenty in stock each so goes to show its not a strange problem.

yepp you got it waker46, just spend a grand on a new ECM. and to make matters even more of a head ache its got to go to Holden for programming because they still got the monopoly on the diagnostics,although my mechanic can do 80% of the whole diagnostics.

well found out what my problem is. need a new ECU.

you tried the volume and or the balnce control on the stereo? i had to re-adjust mine when i 1st paired my phone to the Sv6

i got the same prob and diagnostics showed something wrong with injector circuit on cylinder 6 ? still dodgy fuel i dunno?

at 1st you would think its a dud coil pack but the problem goes away? or a injector with crap in it? but after adding a injector cleaner and got the car put on a diagnostics the warning coming up is faulty injector circuit on cyl 6. took intake manifold off and checked all the wiring...

had a simular prob and rang holden they advise me the barrel had to be replaced, so i used gentle persuasion (forced it) and no problem since.

you know Holden wants $10 for just a sump bolt washer. so re-use the original if in good nick or gat a pack of 10 from Veale. and it be cheaper i got 20Lt of Mobil for the car so oil changes are gonna work out cheaper
